Hello,
I'm new to the site and I already love it. I need some advice about my situation.

I am a legal resident waiting to get my citizenship process and I was wondering if there's anything I can do to get my wife and 3 month old to the states ASAP.

Can I start the I-130 process and change the status once I become and US Citizen?

Is there anything else I can do to bring them home?

I'm currently in Peru and been there since Feb but I have to go back due to my work. It will break my heart when I leave my girls, especially my daugther.

Thank you guys.

Yes, you can petition your wife and the child now as an LPR, and once you become a US citizen upgrade the petition.

Jorge,

I don't think there is any kind of expidited service for getting the visas for your family. You can file even as a Legal Permanent Resident. It is standard procedure that visa process takes longer for family reunification compared to other visas (like HB-1 job visas where a company sponsors the immigrant).

I am sorry.
