Got an email yesterday saying application has been approved and new card ordered. Seems like California is taking approx. 3 months to get the newer cases out, which is not anywhere as bad as Nebraska was when I sent my petition. Also, at least for the newer petitions (as opposed to the older petitions that were stalled in NSC and recently transferred), it seems they are being processed more or less in the order received. I base this on my observation of recent approvals.

For the curious we had only one year of joint tax returns (the second was filed after we applied), we did not have any affidavits with our petition either, and we did not even have any joint lease/mortgage documents since the house was purchased before we got married. We did however have lots of joint financial, insurance, medical documents together with evidence of joint travel, hotel receipts, photographs etc.
