Hi everybody,

I've been reading this forum for some weeks now and you guys are great, some really lovely love stories here, too.
My husband is the USC and we've been married for ...3 years on June 25th now. For 4 years we were living abroad because of his line of work and in Sept of last year we moved to the UK. I have two daughters from a previous marriage who've had to change a few schools and locations due to our moves.
The UK just didn't work for us so we decided to move to the states. We filed with the US Embassy here in London in May. The credit card was charged the next day and we got an email saying that the filing date is May 9th. A couple of days later we got an envelope with some documents that they didn't need. I never sent extra proof of marriage, other than the marriage certificate because it didn't say anywhere on the checklist that I had to. I applied for the police certificate and have it here ready for the next step.
Do you think there's any chance that we'll get our visas before September so that the kids can start school together with everyone else? The 14 year old is very worried about starting a new school and starting late would make it even harder for her.

Many thanks
Welshcookie
Hi Catgirl biggrin.gif

From what I can gather DCF London is taking 4-5 months to complete....we also filed in May and are hoping to be done by September too...so I'll keep fingers crossed for both of us laughing.gif

Good luck!

There's hope smile.gif Thanks Welshcookie, best of luck to you, too. You married a man in uniform?
I tried uploading a photo that was taken the day we got married where my husband is wearing his uniform but for some reason it didn't work. I'll try it again later.
