Does the I864 need to be notarized? I thought I read it somewhere. And Are they particular on how the package is bound together?
I did not notarize my I-864. The following is how I put my package together and it sailed right through:
Coversheet (w/barcode)
I-864 (form)
Tax Returns (last 3 years, starting with 2007)
Letter from employer (salary / employment dates / standing)
Pay Stubs (last 3 pay periods)

No. The sponsor just has to sign the form. You should know however, when the sponsor signs an Affidavit of Support form, he/she certifies that the information provided, transcript and/or photocopy of tax documentation is true and correct, under penalty of perjury.
