If I don't get it tomorrow, I'm going to call DoS again.

Has anyone ever heard of someone not getting their appointment letter?

My interview is in 17 days. They mailed it out on the 14th of May...seriously, it shouldn't take THIS long to mail something from Montreal to Brantford.
I was thinking that if worse comes to worse I have the package 3 cover letter and an email from Montreal stating that my interview is June 20th.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of someone not getting an appointment letter. Hopefully DoS can do something for me when I call.
I'm worried.

I have heard of others whose appointment letters didn't arrive and they came armed with the email. Hopefully, yours will arrive in plenty of time.

I am sorry you havent received you appointment letter but try not to worry.

Your appointment letter is needed to get into the Consulate. If you have your email saying you have an appointment, that should be good enough Laura!

Laura, when I went to the consulate I presented my passport and that was enough for them since my name was on their list. I am one that never got the letter to this day, and I'm not too sure whether I got the news in an e-mail or over the telephone, I think it was the telephone as someone here advised to call them the day I did..

Keep after them but don't worry they will have your name on their clipboard

Oh Laura that sucks. I'm sure it'll be all fine like everyone has said but I know how worrisome it is to travel so far for something so important and not have every single duck in a row the way it should be. I'd be upset about it too, but seriously that email should be plenty.

I've emailed Montreal again and now I'm calling DoS.

Rather annoying.
On the up side, I just got all the documentation from Nick today (he overnighted it) so I'm all ready to go other than this blasted letter!!!

Okay I just got off the phone with Brian.
He stated that the email and cover letter should be just fine in getting in.
He also told me to email Montreal one more time and ask specifically to make sure but he thinks it should be fine.
Ive emailed them so hopefully I'll hear back.

They actually mailed my appointment letter to my fiancee in the U.S. for some reason, even though the salutaion was directed at me.
