Husband's interview coming up in JULY.

I can't arrive until 2 days prior to his interview and what did I do but bought the plane tickets to his home city so we can both go to Guangzhou together...

BUT That was assuming that he could get his medical exam done in his city while we waited for his interview date (after he received his interview packet of course).

I've heard a few things: THat he can have an exam done in a few different cities... I HOPE QINGDAO is one of them...

or that he has to do it in Guangzhou.

Please tell me I didn't royally screw up by buying r/t tickets to and from his city so we could go together....

btw, I arrive 9 p.m....nex day we planned to take the train to Guangzhou... the NEXT day at 07:15 is his interview. oh, cutting it so close...but no time for medical exam I fear. And I cannot leave before the day I am booked for. It's the absolute earliest I can leave...so I cannot change my departure date for China.

What are our options???

Does anyone SEE THE LIST IN FRONT OF THEM and can tell us if there are ANY physicians in Qingdao or at least in Shandong province somewhere???

Yes you can do the medical in other cities, typically where there is a US Consulate.

All that is needed are the forms and invite letter that are in packet 4, as well as documents requested for on form OF-169 from packet 3.

Medical is first come first served, no scheduling needed.

You haven't allowed enough time to get the medical in Guangzhou but he could travel to Shanghai or Beijing before hand to take care of it before you arrive. Alternatively, he goes on ahead to Guangzhou and you meet him there. With a Thursday interview, I'd have him arrive in Guangzhou no later than early Tuesday morning for a medical or Wednesday afternoon if he does it in advance.

I highly recommend Yang Jihua's hotel and staff assistance for interview preparation.

I second that on Yang's hotel, they were most helpful with us, we had to do medical the day before interview, and do expedite.

Yang new that Shamian island will do expedite, for us if we were at the med center when they opened.

Right, my wife and daughter arrived on a 9:AM train, so they picked up their medicals the next day. Too late for same day.

Just in case you didn't plan for it, the earliest you can pick up the visa will be Saturday. They won't mail them out of Guangdong Province.
