I would totally notice if u didn't post anymore. There are often times I'm about to send out a search party coz I don't see ya for a few days. SO...The answer is NOOOO ur not allowed to stay away...PERIOD!

I learned that in the slumber parties..the louder u are, the more ur noticed. I prolly annoy the pants off of most of the members but I don't care..I go, cut loose, and have a bunch of laughs (if nagi isn't shooting me in the butt with arrows ) What is interesting is that there are a LOT of members that post all the time that have told me they feel ignored too so don't let it get to ya. I think it is a very common feeling all around.

Oh really? I thought that these private jokes were in reference to Sarah of sarahandhicham and the fact that she is overweight. Weird, I've seen it sooo many times in the last few weeks. And since it was implied that the person who posted here is a troll or suckpuppet. Isn't that what the flying monkeys are?

Not everyone can be responded to all the time. I think only 35% of my posts get a response from someone else. That's life on a board full of thousands of people. It would be great if we could give everyone the same amount of time and attention, but that is really not possible. Just because no one responded doesn't mean no one read it. Rather it could just mean there was nothing to add or they had other things to do or they had no idea what the answer was to your question. You can't take it all so personally.

I would personally like to see the personal attacks stop. Wether they are toward Sarah or not, it just isn't nice and no matter what anyone has done to anyone else...it's hurtful to be poked fun at all the time...I'm not jumpin on anyone here but do the attacks have to continue against her (or whoever it is?)

Hey all, ok obviously since I do adore the slumber parties and have had a blast in them, I must chime in .

First off - LuLu ur a riot, and a will always be our favorite MENA chick

Terrie I understand what that must be like but you know whats kinda funny, every single person here who comprise of the MENA slumber parties, the usuals as we call them or the people we know the best are all saying they all feel ignored from time to time. Then WHO is NOT getting ignored! You know what I mean? But yea I understand totally if you never get a response for the things you have to say, it can be very frustrating. Keep at it, don't quit VJ, the people here are truly wonderful in a way that none of your or my other friends can be.
we are BOUND together, by the simple fact that no other human being who has not gone through this visa process will understand the pain, heart ache and waiting every moment like even the most obnoxious MENA or VJ member ... and I know that is what keeps us all coming back. Some people have expressed here to get "real friends" and that VJ is just for Q and A and yes these are the people who do not feel connected to certain members but I can say from my heart I have made life-long sisters here, long after I am too old to remember this time period, even if I may not be in contact with them, I will remember their words with every heart beat.

I want you to get loud and proud about what ever you want to talk about, believe me without you MENA would not be the same.

To Jackie exclusively: From the first day I attended a party, I felt instantly welcomed, you mention everyones name like (((jane doe))) and it alerts the rest of the gang that someone has come in. It is understandable that if a very juicy conversation comes up that everyone else immediate gravitates towards that one and that is the fun of it. Most of the time I saw that everyone finds their own niche and everyone gets a chance to say something hilarious....(ahhh explaining the pineapple mystery to LuLu...storytime by Nagi lol) Basically you do all you can even though you are busy to welcom everyone in and soon it feels like home, converstations fly ever which way, and EVERYONE cannot be heard at once, so people make sub-conversations as well. I personally appreciate your time in organizing these events.

Terrie, I am happy that you made this post, if something is being bothersome, it is definately important to bring it to attention. Know that we all love you and do not want you to leave us.

If I had 10 cents for everytime I felt ignored on this site, I would have like 10 bucks by now....but none of us should take this personally. I bet all the girls on MENA like Just Jackie and Ganga Girl etc...all felt ignored a time or two. We are here to help each other...and learn information - a source of support and encouragement. Honestly, my first (and only) slumber party was a little hard for me too....I had maybe 5 words spoken for me. I sat quietly and that's my fault - I would never blame anyone but myself. People here don't know me - that takes time. When I left the party, I told myself that maybe the slumber parties just aren't for me - but after reading this post, I will be at the next one.

By the way, husband was told to leave his passport at the embassy today. I know you all will just ignore that, but I wanted to tell you anyway. (joking)

Ive been a member since 2004. I havent posted alot but when I had a problem and posted about it there were alot of women here that came to my rescue with kindness,understanding and heart warming words. Plz dont feel that you are being ignored by them, I feel too that some are more closer than others b/c they have bonded but you can bond also it just take time and you have the opportunity to bond as well.

And as far as your feeling of being ignored out side of VJ, plz dont let the reactions by others determine who you are. As for as I am concerned it is never how someone think of me but how I think of me. Going through the visa process is enough stress.
I am a peaceful person being mean and unconsiderate of others feelings is not my cup of tea. I hope you are feeling better now.
