I am so frustrated right now...Congratulations to everyone who has received a case complete but I am so upset that my DS230 has been entered in NVC system since May 12 and my I-864 has been entered since May 2 and my case is still not complete....everyone else whose docs were entered after mine are getting a case complete...what is up with that...i called like almost everyday now asking for a status and its the same thing...my docs are still under review...i have no idea why though...this is really bothering me now...I want this to be over already....

Two things.

Processing at NVC can vary depending on Name checks, this visa results in green-card so there is extensive "Administrative Processing" at NVC, when compared to NON-Immigrant visas like the K-Visas. K-Visas deal with this when they adjust status.

Call NVC and check on case status, talk with an operator.

Hang in there. It will soon come.

I have been talking to an NVC operator everyday now for like the pass two weeks...I was thinking too that maybe he is under AP but my husband has a unique name and he has been living in the same parish in Jamaica all his life with no criminal record whatsoever so I don't understand why that would take so long...Would the operator let you know if they are under AP???...when i call all they say is that it is still "standing"...whatever that means...the longest i seen for a case complete is two weeks and today made three weeks for me...this really stinks...

Thanks but it is so hard to see other people way pass you getting a case complete while i'm still waiting...i waited over 5mos at USCIS and i was really hoping this would have been smooth sailing at NVC for me but it really is not...i can't catch a break with this immigration process...now i'm going to have to wait like three more months for an interview since JA embassy is so backed up already....it makes no sense....

I know you are upset. But, there is little you can do at this point. Trying focusing on something else for a while and maybe time will fly a lot faster.

I was also getting fustrated with my K-1, but I just stopped checking and left it alone. The ladies on VJ kept me busy and my mind on other things. JG will tell you as well as the other ladies here I was about to pull out the last of my eyelashes. When I least expected it, my approval came.

Jgay, is your case unique? Is there anything that you think you could of left off the DS230 or was there something weird on your official documents? I don't know why your case is taking so long. hang in there though cause no ones received an interview date in over a month, so you're really not missing anything. From what it looks like August may be our date cause July was already shown as filling up when I cehcked the Embassy site yesterday. UGH!! I just want to have my husband here by our 1 year anniversary.

My case is as simple as it gets in my opinion...my husband has no kids, lives in the same parish all his life, no criminal records, i submitted the new birth certificate for him, and my copy of my marriage certificate because we got two and he kept one...his police certificate was clean...i signed his pc though were it states to put his signature but i printed his name since that is how my husband usually signs his name...i hope thats not the issue...wouldn't there be a note on my case if there is any issues????....I'm just really need to stop paying attention to it...my time has to come...hopefully sooner not later...

Jay...I have several friends in the same boat. I have one friend who filed her K-1 through CSC in August and don't get an interview date yet. She was approved in April. The other that are CR/1 called NVC last week and was told to look for appointments 2nd or 3rd week of August. Don't know how true that is. They want to be with their SO during the interview and want to book tickets now, because it's expensive to travel to Jamaica in the summer and you can't book at the last minute without paying and arm and a leg. One of them was hoping to get through before her 6th month of pregnancy, but by the time August come around she's going to be in her 8th month. Sometimes they're nice on the phone, but at times they can be very nasty.

Marlita, where did you look to see JA embassy calendar for interviews???????????

Its tough to tell you not to worry and to relax....but try your very best to do so. This process has given me sleepless nights but as the Jamaican saying goes "every dog has his day" Im convince. Hang in there and dont loose hope. And just so you would know not one appointment from what i can see here has been scheduled for Kingston in the last month. My case was completed on April 25th and each time you call the NVC they tell you some crap about dates been scheduled the 2nd week of each month. I try not to call them every day to drive myself crazy so maybe you should try that approach.

Thanks everyone for the support...but like Trelawny I just want to pull every last strand of hair on my head...(the eyelashes sounds to painful...LOL)...but I'm going to stop calling and hopefully one day this week the AVR will tell me my case is complete...and then goes the long wait to hear interview date...Kishmar i can't believe they haven't given you date yet and its been over a month for you...you have to hear a date this month...it wouldn't have been so bad if i could afford to squeeze one trip to JA to see hubby but the way these prices are going i need to wait since I want to be at the interview...this really shows you the power of true love...

I originally planned to go to JA Memorial day weekend but when I got my case complete I decided to wait since I plan on going to the interview. But all this waiting for an interview is crazy. And to know theres people from April with no date yet....what the?!!

There's no one on here with a July date from JA. I looked on the Kingston Embassy site and I see that August is completely empty, so I figured thats where we would be with dates...however if Kish is still waiting from April, I can't believe that she would have to wait 4 months for a date, thats un heard of with KNG. So there has to some late July dates left. I just hope I can squeeze in there for one of them too, haha.

Guess what now...I called the AVR early this morning and low and behold....I got an RFE... ...so i called again so i can speak to an operator and they told me my file is fine and that they do not see anything missing...so i asked why did i get that message because both docs have been received and entered...they said an officer picked up my case and is reviewing my docs...that didn't really answer my question though since i was hearing my case was already with an officer but has not completed the reviewing process...so he said to wait another 5-10 days to hear a response...can anyone tell me if they have received a "false" RFE when both of your docs where already submitted and entered by NVC???...has anyone every heard this before???...does this message really mean that an officer finally has your case???...ok i am starting to pull out my eyelashes...can an operator see if there is incomplete info on the docs???...or can they really tell you if you only having missing docs...those people who got RFEs because they forgot to write "present" in the necessary fields, was the operator able to tell you that in advance??...when looking over my docs the only thing i saw i did was on the DS230 I wrote N/A instead of "never"....should that really be a problem...i would die if it was....but i didn't leave any answer blank...plus on the I-864 i submitted transcripts for all 3 yrs, 6mos worth of paystubs, and an employer letter...the optional page if you are not using assets, or bank statements i put N/A on top and N/A on the bottom just to not leave anything blank...could that be an issue...WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!

wait and see this week as to what goes on, officialy it says they take 2-4 weeks to review ds230, they might jus think u r in the timeframe..

i have the same situation, i got the REF for i-864, the operator were able to tell me whats was missing, so i just send them on Friday, and hoping to get my case complete at the end of this week so i can get the interview in July,

its really upsetting, i m really Stressing out.

some ppl are so lucky that they get their case complete in 3 days without any REF

Ok...so I had to call one more time to make sure there was nothing wrong with my case...JG please don't kill me...LOL...my husband made me do it... ...so I spoke with another lady and she said that a checklist was sent out because they wanted MY birth certificate and marriage certificate...WHAT...she then said wait wait wait...thats an error on NVC because they had me under a parent/sibling filing not spouse...she said that it was sent to a supervisor for review and to just disregard that message because the supervisor reviewing will see that it is a mistake...she said not to worry and that my files are fine and to give it another 10-15 days...I really hope it doesn't take that long...but I finally feel closure right now knowing that my files are indeed ok and its finally been forwarded to a supervisor...now I don't feel the urge to call anymore...i'll just call to hear the AVR for any updates but thats about it....
