My husband filled I-130 for me on December 2006
It was a very long and stressful process and time, sometimes it felt like it will be no end in this situation, but FINALLY 17 months later, I'm in my husband's apartment in Albany, NY posting this message for all members to tell that NO MATTER how hard it is there is a hope for everyone, one day it will happen and you will be together with the loved ones. I'm so happy to finally be in arms of the men I love and see his face when I wake up in the morning, not in my dreams only as it was before,
I want to thank everyone who prayed for me and those who helped with advise and support
I want to wish a GOOD LUCK and happy life for everyone

I am from Colombia, so my English is not very well...but I am going to try to be clear....I got my CR-1 Visa the last Thursday (on May 29th)...but We had a bad moment with the Consul, He told us that We needed the Tax return to the last year...We didn't have that but We had the W2...We had his new Job Contract letter too for the last year (He is a teacher)....so He gave us the visa but He told us that We are going to have problem when We arrived to United States because The Aduana's Officer has the last decision about my Permanent Resident....My question....I got the visa....so can the officer in the airport denied my Resident????, should my husband to get the last year's tax return???....Did you have any problem when you arrived to state????....Can you tell your experience at the moment that you arrived at the airport???....I would like to now...because I AM SO SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....THANKSSSS...

I've heard the magic words -- CASE COMPLETE!

I called this morning and talked to a lady who kinda confused me .. She was sweet but I didn't get what she was trying to say totally ... I was going to actually ask VJ'ers if they had ever had a conversation like this ...

I'll paraphrase:

Me: Hi, I just wanted to know if my case was completed.
Her: Yes it looks like it's complete
M: Really? That's great - that was fast!
H: Looks like there was an expedite.
M: An expedite? There's a notice of an expedite on it?
H: Oh, actually, I don't see an expedite request on here.
M: Oh, so is it complete?
H: I'm looking at it and it's actually not quite complete. It seems the documents have all been reviewed, but they will be reviewing them one more time.
M: Oh, ok so it's not done ...
H: Looks like it's almost done - please call us back in a couple of days and we should have good news for you.
M: Thanks!

THEN OF COURSE - I called back at about 6:30pm today ...

Explained to the guy I talked to that I was confused by the above conversation and wasn't sure if it was completed or what's going on.

He said "Don't worry about it - it's all done."

My reaction, "WHAT? It's complete."

Him, "Yes, they completed it for you today, June 3rd".

Then he told me to just wait for an interview date and asked that I call back in 1-2 weeks as they will schedule further interviews during the second week of June, and possibly I should have an interview for July!

Today I wen to the SS office to change my SS card, and to DMV to renew my Driver's license hopefully will get both of them within 7-10 days and also I have an appointment for the NCLEX-RN exam on June 10
I was preparing very seriously for this exam, but still fill a little nervous
