MrsRowe
Good Morning all,
I spent 2 and a half years waiting for my citizenship to be approved but i was stuck in name check from FBI. I started writing a letter to everyone i could think of. The only letter that came back saying that i was finally cleared was the letter to Dick Cheney, so i did it again. I wrote a letter to him and ofcourse his office reads it, not him directly. I know that we are all trying different things but letters are one way to make some kind of an effort. If we have enough people writing about this problem, it might be noticed and we can not just help ourselves but others behind us as well. I am willing to help format a letter for all of us and we can start sending letters out. Is anyone with me? So far i have written to the DIrector of the Vermont service center, the supervisor of the I-130 department and Dick Cheney. Who else wants to write, i can help you format it. We cannot just sit around and complain about the problem, let's work to fix it. unsure.gif

most of us are writing people. But this being an election year, people are either already busy or do not want to hear about it. On the other hand, since immigration is a big issue, if you get the right person, you never know what will happen

When I was going to the process of the I-130 I also wrote about 20 letters to everyone I could think of (and spent numberious hours reseraching names and contact information. My congressman, senators, First Lady, Director of USCIS, Duty Director of USCIS, Director of Secruity checks, Assistant to USCIS Director, Chief of Stuff of USCIS etc... But the only one (beside my Congressman) that responsed back with an answer was VP Cheney and becasue of the inquiry from his office USCIS responsed as well! And right after I got a response, I got my approval. I am not saying that he had anything to do with that approval (maybe he did) but it doesn't help to get your voice heard!

Good Luck!!

It can't hurt to give it a shot, anything is better than nothing when one is stuck behind. I hope you get an approval soon.. i think most of us here share in this wish.. but why not try a few letters? Good luck!
