I think it can be considered shouting in certain contexts, like if you or I or a lot of others start writing in caps, someone might wonder. If someone is just used to typing that way, has all along, and doesn't know or think it's rude, it shouldn't be such a bother to others.

No option for "I don't type in all caps," so this poll is like asking, "Yes or no: Have you stopped beating your wife?"

I hate all caps when they are accompanied by a block of text two pages long with absolutely no paragraph breaks. I just don't read those posts. If it is short and sweet, I can handle it.

for me its in the context of the sentence... like in tittles... we usually use caps lock to emphasize important points... we use caps lock in chat rooms to get attentions and so on.... so if you see tittles that are on caps lock its normal cause you need to attract attention to your topic

I have had people litterly tell me to stop shouting, but DA-it is easier to read in caps and it is so doggone monnotinous to Shift all the time. it slows you down. so get a life and live with it. I AM NOT CHANGING LESS I FEEL LIKE IT. POOPOO PEE DOO. THE COMPUTOR IS NOT THE PLACE TO HAVE PROPERLY PLACED CAPS AND LOWER CASE LETTERS. people type in all caps...
because their pet cat who wanted fussing whilst they were on the computer jumped onto the computer desk and accidentally caught the caps lock button...they often also catch the tab buton to return the page to the top lol.
Question answered, problem solved, no need to come up with any other reason lol. (if you don't have a cat...it is your budgie?)

Because of her, I did something I swore I'd never do.... I disabled viewing sigs in my profile. Now I can't see all of the cool sigs....all because one person has to have a horrible sig image that gave me a migraine for 3+ hours.

Same goes for people who type in 1337 all the damn time.

If you're unable to read small letters, there is a very simple solution to this on the majority of modern websites: Hold down ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel to make all the text on the page larger or smaller! I have done this before when coming across websites filled with tiny text.

ctrl+ or ctrl- works as well!

I kinda felt one coming on so I adblocked it, for anyone else in similar situations, until you can permanently block flashy images, pressing the esc key will make it stop flashing.

are you using IE or Firefox? if you are using Firefox it says "block images from ...." and then names the site the images are from...

I just checked and IE doesn't seem to have that feature...

Thanks for the warning... I disable siggies mainly because some just take up too much room and are obnoxious. Last thing I need is some strobey thing flashing at me... lol
