We're having a big wedding ceremony with all the stuff in it but no documentation at all because we found out that it is easier to get a K1 visa than having a spousal visa. And my medical certificates was named after my husbands family name. Now I'm curios if it's ok to bring my medical certificate and X ray film to SLEC. Do you think it's ok to bring some pictures of our wedding ceremony in the interview?

Any response would help a lot.

God bless.

Please read the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide. The link is within my signature below and it's also pinned to the top of the Philippines Forum.

Cheers!

If you are under K1 VISA then you should not present something to raise the consuls eyebrows. I don't advise you to bring your medical records and xray films with you using your fiance's last name, they will noticed it and ofcourse they will do further investigation, and also don't bring your wedding pictures because it might be the reason that your visa will be delayed or worst get denied. I read here on VJ that a consul saw a wedding ceremony that the applicants showed to them, so the consul advice her to DO the spousal visa not K1 because they already had the ceremony.

Just simply DON'T bring THEM.

This is definitely NOT ok.

a big NO NO sis! no0pb.gif dont bring any documents or certificates that you are using your husband's family name... K1 visa is a "fiance/e visa", if the US embassy will know that you two already had wedding ceremony and have proofs on it they will really DENY your K1 visa. and they will advise you and your husband to file another petition which is "K3 spouse visa".

Hi there Smiley if you are already married I guess it's better for you to file K3 because you know declared it or not they will find out you are married. They are very strict and Delbros was the one doing the verification so in case they found you're married and you declared not then they might denied your application. K3 wasn't really that slow like what you thinking all you have to do is file both petition I-130 & I129F at the same time. after 3mos you would get the petition approved. In my case my husband filed the I-130 first then I129F it took us 4mos to approved. Not that bad right a matter of 30days difference. It's because we didn't filed it at the same time so the I29F was the one being fast it approves within 70days. So I guess you filed for k3 with complete attachment (if you have NSO Marriage Cert) for both except for the NOA1 of I-130. But I assures you it will work without NOA1 I knew who did that process and got approval without touch or anything.

Just curious how you got wed without any legad documents in it?

Was it just a wedding ceremony and you didn't comply or submitted any documents to government agencies there? If you indeed filed paperwork regarding the ceremony, you might have to check the NSO if they have it on file.Just make sure you are not recorded as married in a government agency there before proceeding a K-1 visa.As what others have advised you if you will pursue K-1, don't show any wedding pictures nor show documents using your husband's family name.Good luck rose.gif

Actually I already have my cenomar from NSO. I got it together with my birth certificate last week. The wedding is like a ceremony witness by our family and friends but no documentation at all. We just want to have a wedding from my family and from his family. Thanks for the advice guys. God bless.
