My dad filed I-130 for my sister 6 years ago when he was a permanent residence. He has just become a US citizen. Here is the complication:

1. My sister got married 3 years ago and has a kid. How do I go about updating this to include her husband and the child? The National Visa Center just sent a letter saying that they are ready to process the visa. What form do I need for this marital status change?

2. What form do I need to let INS that my dad has now been a US citizen?

1) Contact NVC and inform them of this change, however this will change her visa priority from F2 to F3 and may delay the visa. Note do not attempt to lie and indicate that marital status is still single to get the visa, this is considered to be misrepresentation and if caught will result in deportation, I have read of a couple that did that and were caught when trying to apply for citizenship.

2) NVC will need a copy of citizenship document.
