Cassie
I'm starting this list over again, so the other POE thread can be used for bickering whistling.gif

The idea is to keep track of POEs that give out the temp EAD stamp, either consistently or sporadically or not at all. I can edit the list in this post or we can keep copying it as the thread goes on. My other idea is to add the most recent date that we get information (ie. someone goes through JFK today and gets the stamp, I would put "yes (as of 05/30/08)" If you could also report whether or not you got the stamp (recent or not smile.gif ), I'll keep track of stats.

.......Ambassador Bridge (Detroit): yes
0/1..Atlanta - No (May ? 2008)
.......Blue Water Bridge at Port Huron: Yes
1/1..Boston, Logan Airport, through 'deferred entry': Yes (early June 2007)
0/1..Calgary PFI : no (Nov 2004)
.......Cincinnati - No
.......Detroit - No
.......Houston - Some times
1/1..JFK - Yes (5/20/08)
0/1..LAX - No (05/25/08)
1/1..Las Vegas - yes (03/16/08)
.......Miami - No
.......Philadelphia - No
0/2..Peace Arch, Blaine WA - no in person (07/08), no (per phone convo 01/08), yes (per phone convo 5/27/08)
0/1..Peace Bridge - no (early June 2007)
1/1..Port Huron, Michigan (6/16/08)
.......Raleigh - No
.......San Francisco - Some times
.......St. Louis - No
0/1..St. Paul/Minneapolis - No (05/09/08)
Caladan
Boston, Logan Airport, through 'deferred entry'*: Yes, early June 2007.

*We crossed at Peace Bridge with no stamp, went to Hartford for an Infopass, and they told us to go and get the stamp at Boston.

I still think a list like this will be of limited value unless we can somehow get some stats to accompany it - eg 4/18 (ie 4 stamps out of 18 reported entries at that POE), etc

however, I realise that will be very difficult to do, and if it can't be done, obviously ANY list is better than nothing, so please don't think I'm trying to discourage you smile.gif

I hear what you are saying, and we might still be able to get those kind of stats to help. If people could report in this thread whether or not they got the stamp, we can start counting???? Just a thought. smile.gif

I will start with myself and Caladan's experience.

the current timeline set-up has a space for recording all this information, which means it's available somewhere in at least a roughly collated form - is it worth contacting Ewok to see what's currently done with the data, and whether he can make it available?

Ah yes indeed, that would be a good question to ask, would save a lot of work if it is already being collected. It would be nice to have a report generated somehow.
chris4gretchen
LAS Vegas as POE gives the stamp. We didnt even ask for it.

Dunhill

Can any one who would used JFK as POE starting working? Do they require SSN in this period? They have noted a number on my passport at JFK, is that the EAD authorisation?

Thx
Poiteen

Dunhill - since your visa is CR-1 it doesn't matter where you entered, you are work authorised already. The EAD is only an issue for K-1 visa holders.
CBR
6/16/08 POE Port Huron, Michigan received stamp without asking. (red ink ..."work authorized" on the i-94)
Cassie
If people are willing to report, I'm willing to keep track smile.gif
pandora
could it be added to the timeline section for new people to complete when they update there timelimes ?
Cassie
There is already a place to report about the POE experience, I just don't know if there is a way to generate a report from it. Until we find that out, I started this thread smile.gif
Texanadian
Blaine WA (peace arch)

I crossed there Aug 2007 (no stamp). I phoned them in Jan 2008 (told no stamp was given out).

I'll ask jundp if they got it or not. They crossed on July 16th 2008
Cassie
thanks for the info! I'll keep updating this as long as people give me their experiences smile.gif
NavarreMan
This seems to be a thread where people will have an answer to my question on this thread about EAD stamp.
Texanadian
I talked to jundp.....They went through Blaine WA (peace arch).

They didn't get the EAD stamp. They were told in person at the Peace Arch that the K-1 is work authorized by itself and that only people who had green cards got the EAD stamp.

(Why would a green card holder get a K-1?)
