Hey Everyone. Again, Good luck to everybody going through this process; it is very difficult and frustrating. I would like to start a topic for those who are march 08 filers who filed through California!

So far i have not heard any updates about my case, but some people seem to be very lucky with their cases!

exactly. since my NOA1 last March 8 i didnt hear anything about our case, even just one touch at all. sound unfair but we cant do nothing about it, but wait and hope for speedy visa.

it's true that all we can do is be patient. so far only 3 of 58 VJ couples who filed in march through CSC have been approved (i've been posting a list sporadically on the
'filing in march' thread). there have been lots of NOA2s for january filers at CSC this month (they're past 50% now), so i would expect that we'll start seeing NOA2s for march VJ CSC filers within the next 2 months.
our time will come!

Won't it be exciting when this thread doesn't get lost and we are getting posts galore because people are being approved? ahh... that'll be a good day

That will be such a happy time....day after day, all of us March CSCers will be posting "We got our NOA2 today!" I surely look forward to that day. We moved up 8 slots on Igor's list in the past four days. Is that good or bad? I guess any progress is good progress.
I just started monitoring Igor's list since reading all of you mention it. I must admit that it is very interesting to observe. Whoever Igor is, I appreciate the effort it takes to maintain the list. Just as I also appreciate the members who have started lists on other forums I attend.

Hi March Filers!! I hope everyone is still doing good with their cases. I still havent heard anything yet. I'm hoping we get our NOA2 sometime in July. My college classes are done this week! And i have friday and Monday off, YAY I'm so excited. This process is very stressful to me! I could really use some time off. Well, just wanted to see how everybody was holding up.

Has anyone heard anything? Touches? Updates? *CROSSES FINGERS***

GOOD LUCK to all of us.

Yep it is very frustrating. I check mine all the time. At work, lunch, and when i come home. It's hard to stop checking. I just hope that soon we get that email! I have a hard time with patience. It sucks so bad. I;m not even patient with myself. I'm very highly organized and like to know what to expect next, but this is a major test for me for both parts; patience and expecting the unexpected. I love coming here because i find out so much needed information. I also found some prices for Jorge that he needs to pay while he's in Mexico.

It's pricy but worth it

I'm kind of in the process of looking for apartments around here so I can get an idea of what we need to pay. I've also saved a lot of money for the deposit and the first month, i just hope he's on the same boat as I am. It's hard! Very stressful.

I feel like i have to be doing something to feel that I am being useful, you know? The waiting game drives me crazy....

Well i hope you guys aren't as stressed as me!!

Much Love to you guys!

Still no updates/touches here. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we'll see NOA2 in July.
To keep ourselves busy, we are going to work on getting vaccination records, birth certificate translated, etc now before NOA2, hopefully that'll save some time and we'll be able to schedule the interview as soon as possible after NOA2.

Hello guys!
Well, my baby and me re also a CSC march filler

... So we re still waiting for some news from that center, considering that our NOA1 arrived on march 24, we know it will take some time before we have NOA2 in our hands. So the clue is PATIENCE, PATIENCE and more PATIENCE.
I have a question, hope you can help me: I would like to check Igors list but I dont know how can I access to that website? Anybody knows whats the way for getting the link maybe?
I cross my fingers for all of us and offer my prays for getting some good news very soon...

I talk to others (4 of us here) that have done or are currently in the process of the K1 visa for their loved one in Costa Rica. Not sure if its different for each country.
I also won't be able to be there for our interview, but I doubt it will affect our case. I've been there twice this year to visit her and I'm pretty much out of vacation time. What little vacation time I have left, I need to use when I travel there to help get her back to the states.

No news here and I really doubt we'll see much action until next month at the earliest. CSC just started approving February filers and there still are a bunch of January filers out there. Hopefully we'll see CSC crank out the approvals in the coming weeks and get going on March filers in July.
Fingers are crossed.

Hey people. I hope this is our month.

What do ya'll think? How is everybody holding up? I'm starting to get very anxious. I'm ready for mah baby to come and see me. I'm actually really happy because I just recently asked my boss if i could still go down again for the interview when the time comes. She said we will work something out when the time comes. She's way awesome. That means i have a very good chance of being with him at the interview.

Too bad i still don't have an NOA2 or a touch

I'm hoping July brings a large amount of approvals out of both service centers...they've been pretty quiet of late. Nathalie and I are quite anxious to get this NOA2 wait out of the way. Today she went to get her medical records and find out what vaccinations she has already had and what she needs. I guess she also got two of the vaccinations that she needed today. The doctor told her that she would need to come back in a month for 2 more vaccinations because they can only give 2 per month. Not sure how accurate this is...but I'm no doctor. I'd hate to have to wait an extra month or two because we are waiting for vaccinations. She is going to do more research into this.
Tomorrow I'm going work on getting my income tax transcripts. Other than that...we are just trying to stay busy and continue getting things prepared for the day we get the NOA2.
Still keeping my fingers crossed that the March CSC filers will see some action in July.

YEP I'm also thinking it'll be late July.. I HOPE!! I filed March 18, we're pretty close on timelines. Well... If I knew exactly what they would require for the interview, I would let Jorge know so he can get a head start. What i had done is made 2 copies of the packet and sent him one and kept the other. This has EVERYTHING: copies of Birth Cert, Copies of passport, w-2s, pay stubs, pictures, etc. I sent a bunch of informatin just in case. He has all of that. i told him that he would need it for the interview, NOT TO LOSE IT!!!
I also told him that he needs to get his police cert because i don't know how long it will take for him to actually have it in his hands. He said he would go this month when he has a day off. He says those types of papers usually take a full days worth of research in Mexico city...
oh well. Too bad he cant just make a phone call. When he was gathering information about himself, it took about 2 1/2 months to get all of it and sent to me... it took a while. I seriously believed he would be here no later than May of 08.... well that wishful thinking is gone
I hope it doesn't take more than late sept/early oct. ... my bday is oct 15, i hope he is here for that and our anniversary is on oct 28....
WELL What else does he need to gather up? I have contacted Verizon and they sent me phone call history since Oct 07 so they see we still keep in touch. AND every receipt from gifts that i have sent him and him to me also... so what else is needed? I'm just getting frustrated with the process.
I don't know why.. maybe it's the weather.
I just am so excited to see him when he arrives to Seattle.

I hope that Igor's list just starts racing like Jesse Owens! Alas, I am a little worried because said list has been really quiet recently. In the middle of May, we were seeing 3-5 NOA2s per day and now we are seeing maybe 1 per day now. I was betting on an August approval but I am beginning to worry that it will be later.

You might be able to email the Embassy and ask them what will be required for the interview so you can prepare ahead of time. Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I think some documents need to be collected within 30 days of the interview...so getting the police certificate so early, might not work out. Again, you'll need to do some research and see if you can do that or not.

You might also need to have his birth certificate translated to english. I know Nathalie needs to have her's in english at the interview.
Collecting papers in Costa Rica has been pretty painless so far. I've been very impressed with everything.
Our anniversary is on October 13th, so I'm hoping she'll be here for that.

jmmr, you can check the portals/regional threads for juarez here on VJ to find others who have gone through that consulate and to help you find out exactly what you will need for the interview and get your love pointed in the right direction. I did that ages ago and when I needed more info I contacted the consulate in NZ and got the rest. Yes, many of the documents should be dated closer to the interview date, I can tell you that much and also, they may require originals of some of the documents at the interview stage as well...also another original letter of intent dated closer to the date just reaffirming your desire to marry your fiance.
Hope that helps. Best of luck to all of you. I do hope this is the month for all of you!

Finally, there is action in this thread! I have been hoping for a place to hang out until the big NOA2-day arrives

Can we please keep this thread active just as the March Vermont thread stays active? Although I feel at home in a couple of forums, there is no place like being with the people who have filed at the same time as ours, and experiencing the unfolding of our journey together. Good Luck to us all.

OOH You're awesome, thank you again. I searched through the website because I'm not going to call long distance so they can put me on hold. Maybe I'll have Jorge call them...

UMM Here is what i found===>
What documents are required for my interview at the Consular Section?
Mexican passport: a passport must be valid for travel to the United States and must have at least six months validity beyond the issuance date of the visa. If you are not a Mexican citizen you may bring a valid passport from your country.
Follow instructions to apply for a medical exam;
Original and photocopy of applicant’s birth certificate (applicants with non-English or non-Spanish birth certificates must submit a notarized translation with the original and photocopy).
If petitioner or fiancée have been married previously, must bring original and photocopy of proof of termination or dissolution of each such prior marriage.
Persons convicted of a crime must obtain a certified copy of each court record and any prison record, regardless of the fact that they may have benefited subsequently from an amnesty, pardon, or other act of clemency.
Complete, but do not sign the attached Intend to Marry Affidavit (CDJ-401 form).
Two un-mounted full-face photos, taken within the past six months, the applicant should be facing the camera directly and the face should cover about 50 percent of the area of the photo. Picture taken showing the applicant looking down or to either side will not be accepted. It is preferable that the ears be exposed. The head of the applicant measured from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin from hairline side-to-side should measure 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches. The photograph should measure 2 inches square with the face centered in the frame. Prints may be either in color or black and white and must be taken against a white or off-white background. Photos should be printed without borders. Note: all applicants require photograph, do not matter the age.
If you have obtained any type of U.S. non-immigrant visa (for example, tourist visa, laser visa, student visa, etc.) you must bring it the day of the appointment.
NOTE: If your fiancée have been married before and have unmarried children under age 21 who will accompany or follow he/she to the United States, must present valid, original birth certificate, medical exam, photographs and the DS-156 form by duplicate.
In addition to the listed documents, you or your fiancée must proof to have adequate means of financial support and will not become a public charge in the United States. I have some questions----
Most of this is refering to me...does this mean that i am required to go there? I've asked this on another forum but everyone has told me that i dont HAVE to. I'll end up going anyways, but in case I am not able to.... Also! if I am not required to go to Mex with the Interview, and I end up going anyways.... and let's say they give us a 2nd interview, and i cannot make it to the 2nd one... I don't know...is it very often they do 2 interviews? I just can barely afford one trip...to have 2 is impossible.... I hope that made sense! Sometimes I ramble.
All of the forms that he gave to me (copy of birth/passport/id's etc) is translated and notarized... is that going to be effiecient?
I also called USCiS today, because I wanted to know if maybe someone picked it up. But she told me that it is pending, which I know. She also told me what they always say that they are currently working on December 18. She said "give it about 3 1/2 months." But I don't want to believe that because i see some Feb approvals. So basically that's it. Nothing good yet. If i cannot attend the interview, can we change the date?
Do I ask a lot of questions?

And yes I have read the guides... I just always have random questions.

I'm no expert on all this, so I'll answer these questions to the best of my knowledge. No, I don't think you need to go there. You'll send all the information to Jorge and he will present all of the information at the interview. I will probably not be able to attend the interview either due to lack of vacation time. Yes, I believe you can change the date if you need to.
Also, you should be able to email the embassy if you don't want to call them. They should be able to email all the information you need.

jmmr-
From what I have read, the USC is NOT allowed to accompany the Mexican citiziten into the interview. If you go ahead and read the post from the Juarez Consulate thread in the Foreign Embassy section, you'll get some good advice/experiences. So... I believe that even if you accompany your fiance, you'll just have to sit across the street and wait for him until he's done.
jmmr-
I also forgot to say, that at Juarez, the K1 visa interviews are open appointments. So, your fiance will go to the interview when he can make it, they dont' assign him an interview date. I believe.

I think most people aren't posting here yet because there isn't much news to post. Most of us are just waiting it out...waiting to see the first March CSC filer approved. I'm sure we'll see more activity here soon.
But let's not just wait it out. I think we should be having fun in the meantime and encouraging each other here. It really helps with the waiting time. Even though we are all living our individual lives all around the world

we have to admit that VJ is very habit-forming.
I hope no one gets tired of my posts, but I want to keep this thread alive and get to know people here better. Once our approvals start coming in, it will be all the more enriching as well as invigorating, seeing each one of us fulfill our visa dreams and proceed through the following phases of our processes. Let us not forget that we will have many more phases after NOA2, and we may follow our stories for the next few YEARS together....
Peace

LOL I also think we need to keep this thread active!!! I always log on here and read other peoples' action and compare them to what I have. It helps to know that there are few Feb files that have been approved. i was hoping last month there would have been lots more feb approvals. I hope they catch up... I would be the happiest chic alive if we got approved this month.

Why does it take so long anyways?

Well Stevi (is it Stephanie?)- I nominate you to be the party planner here

You're right, we should be posting here regularly. Although I have absolutely nothing to update people with... it'll still be nice just to chat as we wait. I'm going to visit my fiance next Monday... for almost 8 weeks. I'm just hoping I can find things to do during my visit there! I'll be graduating from college next summer, so this is my last chance just to go to Mexico and see him (and hopefully it will be the last time I need to visit him because he better be here soon!!)
Anyway, happy Wednesday to all

Take care.

Hi again. I signed off after this morning's post, so I did not see your entry caityrose. So you are going to visit your guy for an entire 8 weeks? That is wonderful. I wish you all the fun and happiness possible during your trip. Will you have computer access so that you can keep in touch with us? Hope so.

Well- internet "cafes" are my best option. I won't have my computer sitting in front of me at all times (I'm pretty sure I've been lurking around this site all day... gahhh) so I won't be posting AS much. But I'll still keep everyone company

You're lucky Caity. I wish i could go and visit Jorge in Mexico. I'm still debating on whether or not i should go with him for the interview. i really don't want to have to wait by myself. I'm not from there so it scares me

I'm really missin him but I have such a good feeling in my heart. I just know that everything is going to be ok. We have actually started this process since November of 07. we've been planning it since then. SOOO that being said, we are soooo close it's scary. I always told him, oooh just think about when we have only a couple of months left. And we're at that point. I really don't think it will take more than 3 months for him to get here. I CANT WAIT!! My dad also is anxious to have him come here.

I'm almost think to go fly down so we can fly together...i wonder if my boss would let me... well. i hope everyone has a great day!!!!!

That's great that you both have Mexico in common Jmmr and Caityrose. I have never been to Mexico, but would like to one day soon. I hear it is a beautiful place.
I will be going back to London to see my guy in a short while. I just visited during the month of February, but since then, my father has suddenly died after a cancer that seemed to sweep through our family like a thief in the night. But God blessed him with minimal suffering. We are all still in shock that it all happened so quickly. I really needed my fiance to comfort me during the months since all of this, but we speak on the telephone each and every day, and chat on webcam when we can. I am not a big webam fan, but it is a good way to stay in touch and actually see ourselves.
So, the plan is for me to go back during the Packet 3 gathering time. He has most of the preliminary things done, but we want all fresh reports and certificates, so we are waiting until he has that wonderful checklist in hand, and I will then fly across the pond (with my original documents safely in hand) and assist him with the process. This is how we did the I-129f.
Dilemma Number 1: Should I go at the Packet 3 gathering phase or should I go during the Interview? London has a very pleasant embassy interview history, but it would also be nice for me to be there as a support for him. Not that I will be able to attend.
Dilemma Number 2: Sky Miles. I have quite a many Delta Sky Miles accumulated, and when I travel, I will only have to pay about $100 USD to go from Ohio to London and back. BUT I am wondering if I should just pay outright for the trip and let the miles continue to accumulate, thus giving my fiance a FREE airfare trip here to the US when he gets his visa.
As it stands, I am going during Packet 3 gathering, for about 1 month's time, and I am using my sky miles to do so, paying only about $100 USD.
What do you think? Thank you...sorry for the long post

Hi there fellow March filers.Yes,it's nice to keep this thread alive so we could monitor what keeps us busy while waiting for our approvals.Im happy for those people who'll see their SO soon.as for us,we just agreed that it'll be me and my son who'll go there with him due to the high increase of fees(medica, airline tickets etc etc) and the economy's going down.it's been more than a year since the last time we saw each other that's why we're so eager to hear soon from CSC.everyday that my fiance's coming home from work,he never failed to check his mail box to see if the NOA2's already there but no luck

but we're keeping our fingers crossed that they'll send it this month

.
Let's keep this thread rolling guys
Good luck to all of us!!!

First off, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear about your father. I'm sorry your fiance wasn't able to be with you during that, but I hope he was still able to offer you comfort even if it was via telephone or webcam.
Secondly, I think going during Packet 3 gathering is a good idea. As far as using the miles- do you want to be nice to your fiance and give him a free ticket? or... would you like to spend less? hehe. I don't know what a ticket to London costs, but I think that $100 sounds gooood. I'd go with that!!

Goodness! I'm so glad the marchies are finally showing some interaction with eachother!! If it were my decision, I would want to be there with him throughout the interview. That way, you still have a chance to take your original documents; therefore, they are safe in your hands and available for the interview. I think gathering the information isn't as stressful as ACTUALLY going through with the interview.

OMG I CANT WAIT!! I can't believe it's almost July 4th!!!!! Time goes by so fast. These posts we are putting up about this being our month just excites me.

It just amazes how fast time goes... Anywho! About your miles. MMM Are you two splitting the price in the middle? If so, it's the same thing if you were to use it for yourself or him. BUT like Caity says... if you're paying for your own ticket, and him for his own ticket.... would you be considerate enough to give him that as a gift? Or since you "earned" it, do you want it for yourself? What I would probably do... this is me.... a married couple is one. sharing is caring

I would give it to him as a gift and just know that he deserves it. OK I'm going to contradict myself.......

I'm sure your two way ticket is more expensive than his one way ticket; therefore, use it for yourself.... LOL I'm sure I'm not help

Just trying to make you think of ideas. Maybe you can compare how much money he has been putting into this process with how much you are contributing...? Split it! SHARE!

Either way~ Have a good time there. Maybe you can even save the tickets for a trip you both go to next year!!!!!!!!!!! What about that idea?

OK I'm done lol. *HUGS* to everyone.

Thank you ladies for the advice. I think that I will speak to him about me coming during the interview instead, but he was hinting around to me coming both during the packet 3 and the interview. I think that would be a waste of money, that will have to be factored into the AOS fees, etc. I will also use the miles for myself, because it is indeed a two way ticket for myself and only a one way for him. He has been paying for the cost of most things, but I like to contribute also. We have devised a budget for most things, but he is taking care of his preparation, which is costly too.
Good thing is that he will bring the 3 months or more of income, while we wait for EAD. He has been saving for most of his adult life, and we should be okay.
So, thanks for the advice, and I have taken it all and blended it with my own, and I will let you know what he thinks.
Enough about me....Thanks for the bringing this thread to life. It really is a nice place to come to when this wait gets to be long and lonely.

Hi k&o,
It is good to meet you. Thanks for stopping in to say hello. I hope you continue to post often. I have resorted to practically wanting to BEG for participation in this thread. Maybe the March filers with CSC are just a quiet bunch in general, but I am hoping that we gain some momentum soon. I get so excited when I go into the Jan, Feb and April threads who are with CSC. Even May filers are starting to have a nice and lively thread.
So, please keep stopping in to wave or even start a discussion with us. We are the closest thing to family that we have. We are a 'rare' bunch of individuals to be able to go through this process with all of its ups, downs, curves and falls, but I take that as a huge compliment and testament to our strength, determination and abiding love for our significant others.
Until later,
Stephanie
