Hi guys,
Question about making a stopover before coming to US. My fiance wants to stopover at Japan for a couple of days before continuing her flight to the US. Is this possible?
jom
It is. The K1 visa is good for 6 months ( from the date it was issued ). Your fiancee has 6 months to enter the USA so as long as she is already in the USA within that period she should be fine.

Yes. She won't be activating the visa in Japan, so it's all good.

A Japan visa should be applied for if she will be going out of the airport, right? My sister applied for Japan visa when they went there for a tour.

I don't know about Japan, but I didn't have to apply for a Visa when heading into Hong Kong. Should probably look and see if it's even necessary to apply for one into Japan.

As far as I know, if you are a Philippine citizen, Japan will require a visa if you want to go there be it business or pleasure...
