Hi to all VJ members,,i just want to know if how long it will take to received a NOA1,,if you filed it in VSC?...im just little bit nervous coz my Fiancee sent the packet for my K1 last may 23,2008,and until now still didn't hear anything from them...I was thinking that maybe a little bit delayed coz he sent it last friday so it's weekend and holiday last Monday also...is there any May'08 filers here?please let me know guyz....

little early to start worrying. 
It seems VSC has been taking a little more time this month to issue the NOA1's and cash the checks, even without the holiday.

I wouldnt start worrying yet its too soon, expect a Na01 inbetween 2 and 3 weeks.
i think vsc are a little slower in sending out the noa1s than csc but they are faster and processing the petitions after, look for the may filers theads with william wallace the vscs from may are all there and you can look at their timelimes also look and others vsc timelines from apil and march it will give you an idea.

Hummm if I were you, I would call VSC and inquire, just to ease your mind. I sent my petition to VSC and even with an RFE, I received my NOA1 response fairly quick. But, it may be the holiday like you said and the work load now compared to when I sent it could be factors in the wait....but normally from what I gather 2 to 3 weeks. Because NOA1 is just to let you know that they have received your packet. It is the NOA2 that I was most interest in 
I'd give them a call if I were you....I have no patience.

My NOA1 is dated a week after they received the petition. Others, who sent it in the days around me are dated just a couple days later. I AGREE WITH WHAT YOU SAID...REGARDING CALLING THEM MAYBE NOT RIGHT NOW, BUT IF IT WERE ME I WOULD....JUST BECAUSE I AM AN OBSESSOR. BUT YEAH YOUR RIGHT, MAYBE TOO SOON TO CALL...JUST WAIT IT OUT
