in my opinion i think its better to put for travel to USA....

I have TRAVEL ABROAD as my purpose on the NBI clearance...

When i filled up for NBI registration, i put "travel abroad" but then again the NBI guy there (Quaipo Main) asked me which country and i said USA and he told me to put USA and so i did. When my NBI Clearance was release it says valid to travel to USA.
But i don't think there will be a problem with your NBI clearance, as it indicated purpose is "to tavel abroad".
