My husband got his EAD card in the mail yesterday!!! It was funny 'cause even though I didn't have the kids last night my youngest still came home to wait for her stepmom to pick her up. I was at work and so it was just her and my hubby hanging out at home. Well when I got home I saw a pile of mail. I guess she took it in and he didn't see it and there it was, the envelope with his name on it! ALL that day he was kinda bummed 'cause he is sooooooo bored and he even said when I walked in that his patience is running out and then BAM we found the card alhumdulilah!!!! He's going today to the Soc Sec office and *hopefully* they will give him his number even though he cannot get the card yet. I have heard on the working before green card forum that they can do this. I hope so because about 6 online applications are hanging in limbo waiting on that precious SS #!!!! Times have sure changed because I don't ever remember having to give that out until I actually got hired!

Anyways I'm glad I have a super duper happy hubby today!!!

I have had a day from tile hell. My builder has a closing tommorrow and SOMEHOW I screwed up and ordered the wrong kind of towel bar and soap dish. So they send me to Home Depot for chrome toliet papers holders. Double I had NO clue what I was doing. Now I know more about bathrooms than I ever did before!

Well, its still fourty minutes until Wednesday here in CA but oh well. Its Wednesday somewhere in the world!

We are leaving tomorrow for a big vacation to the Middle East so I probably won't be around VJ much for quite some time. I am glad to hear of all the visa approvals, babies being born, and all that fun stuff. I hope to read about more good news when I either get time to go online or when I get back!

Of course now I suddenly have that first twinge of a sore throat so now I'm worried I will get sick at the start of the trip. I sucked on a zinc lozenge, ate some vitamins, and loaded up on water, fruits, and veggies. HELP! What else can I quickly do to get this handled before I end up with a full blown cold!?
