Hi Carol!
Thanks for the tip. I checked the site you told me, but unfortunately it only shows jazz and fusion bands that include brazilian music in their repertoire. I am looking for something more like Vinicius de Moraes, Joao Gilberto, Maria Betania, even Chico Buarque or Caetano Veloso.. I mean, people playing and singing their kind of music. If you know about anything in Maryland let me know... I'll let you know too if I find out something first yes.gif

Thank you and cheers! rose.gif

I just found something very interesting!!!

A MPB Festival!!! And it's here!!! Yes, in USA!!!

Now, Im seriously thinking about convincing my uncle to come over to play some concerts!!! And maybe (who knows...), participate on the festival!!!

Camila: The next festival is next year, and it runs around NJ and FL.

Seems very good!!!

Very cool, I'm still getting "used" to some of the music in Brasil laughing.gif I'm a Blues Guitarist, but I'm trying my best.

Although, I think if I hear "Ela Soh Pensa em Beija, beija, beijar...e vem comigo dança, dança, dança" one more time I may lose it laughing.gif God bless my Fiance and her love for Brasilian Funk.

My Fiance actually has a famous (well, that is what she told me) cousin in Brasil that plays guitar. I believe most of his music is in the style of Pantanal/Paraguay. His name is Marcelo Loureiro, don't know if any of you have ever heard of him or not.
