Hi
I am a Jordanian studying in the US with an F1 visa. I am planning to get married this summer in Germany and would like my wife to accompany me to the US. What are the procedures for her to get a US visa? Also, if we have a child in the US, is would we be able to apply for US residency?
Thanks

Sorry you haven't had any answers but I do believe if you have a child born in USA they can petition for you . I hope you get a good response on here from somebody. You might want to post this somewhere else also for F1 visas

1) It will be difficult to petition for a spouse on an F1 visa. You can only stay in the US as long as you are in school. Your wife would have to apply for an F2 - with this visa she cannot work or attend school.
2) Any child born in the US becomes a citizen but can not petition for their parents until the child is 18. So when you complete school you will need to leave the US, unless you find an employer that will sponsor you for permenant residency. Your child can petition for you when they reach 18.
