Hello Guys,

I just want to ask what is this about:

"Applicants must ensure that the back of the DS-157 Form is machine-validated with check-rite,The U.S. Embassy does not validate DS-157 forms.Applicants whose DS-157 form is not machine validated with check-rite will NOT be allowed to enter the embassy premises. The applicant will then have to book another interview appoinment."

I already filled up my DS-156,DS-157 and DS-156K but i saw someone here on VJ post about this machine validate thing about DS-157 and i dont understand about it.How can i make it validate with machine when i filled it up online???

Does anyone here know about this and make it clear to me???

Thanks.

Hi Bluemist,

When you pay the visa application fee to BPI bank, the teller will give you validated DS 157 form as proof of your payment stapled also in that validated DS 157 the payment receipt you have paid.

I further recommend that you consider browsing through Section 4.3 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide.

No, there is no need for you to bring any DS forms when you pay your visa application at BPI. You just go there and tell the teller you will pay visa application fee. The teller will tell you to log your name at their record book while she is processing your payment, after that she will give you the receipt plus the 1 page validated blank DS157. That's all. (I paid in BPI-Olongapo just near M1) wink.gif

This 1 page blank DS157, you will fill up "handwritten" and will be submitted on the day of your interview at USEM-Manila.
Your DS forms to be prepared:( 2 sets of DS 156 filled up online, 1 filled DS 157 computerized or handwritten and the validated 1 DS 157 from the BPI bank.

Another option is to attach the blank DS-157 receipt to one of the two DS-157 forms you have already filled out. As long as you have two forms filled out and the receipt you will be fine.
