Here too... well, actual temps in the 90's, but heat index into the 100's! It's HOT!

Well how the heck can we go from the 80's to frost????? Im glad the flowers are finally in, Maureen.

Size is, of course, EVERYTHING!

So i took myself to urgent aid yesterday and am now on 3 different meds to treat peptic ulcers...same crap i went thru 3 years ago...I was miserable yesterday...I couldnt even move to take care of my son...Poor sofyan had him the whole day!! i am feelin a little relief this morning..hope fully within the next day or two the pain will subside...I now need to find a good GI doctor to get some scopes done...

On a happier note...Zaid is 4 weeks old today!! He has his one month checkup on thursday...It breaks my heart to know i will be back to work in 2 weeks...thankfully sofyan can be home while im at work and vice versa...I could never do the babysitter/day care thing this young...

its shot day here for the pineapple princess, and I must say on top of the teething fussiness I am not looking forward to the next couple of days . I am sure she wouldnt either if she had any idea whats going to happen to her at 1:00.....

Kelly that totally sucks, I wonder why it was 'dormant' while you were pregnant? I had HORRIBLE heartburn the last few months, it seems like your issues would have been aggravated during that time... anyway I am sorry to hear it and I hope it improves.

awwwwwww I hated shot day. Is someone going with you? Lexy used to put out her bottom lip and pout. Hope it goes easy. Do they still suggest giving a low dose of Tylenol BEFORE the shot? It can help with the low fever. (disclaimer: not a nurse and haven't had a baby around in...um 23 years)

sara, the doc said pregnancy puts things like that into "Remission" strange i know, but, thats why i was saying when i was pregnant i ate or drank anything, and continued to do say after he was born, guess my tummy still cant handle all that stuff (coffee, lemons, etc)

I hope the same for everyone here waiting. It's a hard road, but we have some pretty strong women here in VJ.

Finally the rain has stopped, and the warm weather is coming. Too bad it wasn't in time for memorial day, but ehhh...what can ya do?

You guys seriously I hate humidity! I had to take a shower last night before bed and my husband said that if the fan was on his bones would hurt. I thought I would die last night, seriously I woke up with wet hair from sweat. YUCK! Is this whole you have to wear an undershirt and not lay under the fan a MENA thing? He says lots of stuff causes probs from the cold. I'm dreading going home to a hot house and half tempted to turn on the air tonight when he is asleep.

Hey Tasha! I have the same issue at home with Adam... he hates having the air on and I love cold air. At night time I will turn it on and in the middle of the night he will turn it off... then when he sleeps i will wake up and turn it on... same as when I get home from work... im walking into an oven and have to turn the air on...

Im thinking i got all red hearts now, guess we will see

My husband doesn't like the a/c on in the car. He closes the vents that are on his side and he said the reason is that it will make him sick. Not sure how the house a/c is going to work since I haven't had to use that yet, but I think that will be a slight challenge to say the least. As it is, last night it was in the low 70's, high 60's and he still went to sleep with a sweater on underneath his long sleeved t-shirt with all sets of covers on. Me, I wore the bare minimum and hated even having a sheet on but he insists that if I don't cover my a$$ I'll continue to get nightmares.

Ahmed was same with car and house air, and he didnt want the fan on him and it did make him sick.....now he wants to know if many people move around me (due to tornados)

O tells me similar things... he doesn't like the heat, but he doesn't like having the fan directly on him. Says it hurts too. Interesting. I guess it's the extreme changes.

But I do know that having too much A/C isn't a good thing. So my remedy? Cold humidifier, not direct on skin. I love adding blocks of ice to it. But I'm in a "dry" area, so that works for me.

My first visit to Morocco we drove too Marakesh for the final weekend before my return to the states. The entire drive back was so hot I thought I would pass out. They just don't use the AC. I don't sweat much, so what this turns into is heat stroke. Lets just say I divulge in AC all I want here.

Yeah it's a MENA part of the world thing - no ice in the water and no air conditioning if there is they will wear a sweater or light jacket . I do the same

totally .. i'm on my way..this heat is for the birds! I need to move to antarctica.

The whole fan/ac thing.. yeah totally MENA. Hubster was dead set against the fan blowing on him so I got a pedastal fan and aimed it from the foot of the bed upward ONLY on me until he got used to the idea. I told him that if I didn't have a fan on, I can't breathe when I sleep so he was more than welcome to pile on the blankets and snuggle down. He still tries to cover me up before we fall asleep so I don't get sick. I'm never cold enough...it just doesn't happen and he's never warm enough.

Same to you my dear, you do not know how hard it was to live without my dose of Nagi.

Yap, here in Chi-Town we had a extremely hot memorial day followed by 43 degree tuesday morning, sneezing caughing cause I kept the wondow open.... ya...this weather is drivin me nuts

I used to blame it on the saying, that its a "windy" city you know, but then when I realized why its really called that I see no excuse for giving me sunburns one day and frostbite the next.

LOL... that's funny cause same here.. except we were in Marakesh for 3 days but really no a/c than again it wasnt that hot for them??? for me yikes! I have no plans to go visit during the "summer" they have and stick with the "off season" times,

Marakesh must be the going place to be ha because this was where we had the a/c in the hotel room and he said this was the first time he had slept with a/c and as i said he did catch a cold
