Any fiancee nurses here...I have something to raise a topic for discussion here. I am planning to bring my nursing books to US, that are all authored by american writers. I found them useful when I will review for my NCLEX there, or something to read there. The problem is that these books are reprinted here in the Philippines, though authorized by the publishing company, but it is indicated in each book that it is "not for sale outside Philippines". I am concern if it is a good idea to bring all these books with me when I will fly to US. Will it not cause a problem or trouble with me in the custom if they found out the status of my books? Any nurses out there who have an experience like that...

please share some of your thoughts.
Hello AlienLC,
i am a nursing student here in the U.S. i am petitioning my wife and son who live in mindanao.anyway, it is a great idea to bring those books with u.here they are very expensive, you know "ang mahal!!!" i dont think you will have any probs w/customs.the books clearly state not for sale bla bla bla.you are bringing them for your own use.besides, most people go thru customs without any searchs.if they do ask about them just tell them the truth.i'm pretty sure that they they wont think you are part an international nursing book smuggling ring.hahaha... Take care & good luck
