Hi to Everyone!
I have entered a relationship with a lovely woman from the Philippines. I have been doing lots of research on the K1 visa process. It looks very daunting to me. I have read some posts here where lawyers are used or not. What direction should I go? I really love this woman and want the best plan to get her to me here. Any advice is welcome and very much appreciated.

In general, get to know them well, take a few trips etc save all your evidences, you can do the k1 papers yourself, just take some time and be detailed. Its a long process sometimes, that seems like it takes forever. Read up one the guides and follow the posts on here from her region get acquainted with some that are close to your filing time and good luck
About to hire a lawyer I think that it really depends about how do you feel for filing the forms by yourself. In my personal opinon if your case isn't complicated (police problems, deportation...) you can do by yourself. We did our AOS filing by ourselves. You decide.
