Yesterday, I finally got through to a real, live person at NVC! She was very nice and told me that our I-129 had been sent and gave me the case number. My hat is off to this lady.
I have been able to track the package through the DHL website and even was able to sign-up for email alerts on the package's progress. Next stop, Guangzhou, China.
When we began this process in March, I was not very positive. With the long delays from last year, I was sure it would be 6 or 8 months before we were this far along in the process.
I know this is just part of the process, but each step gives me hope. I have to have this hope and faith, it is the only thing that keeps me from going crazy.
I told my Mary that this process is like eating a cow. You cannot eat a cow in one meal. This made her laugh. But now, I feel as if we have eaten about half the cow!
