First of all, I am confused by your post....
Are you saying you have a Co-sponsor and they submitted their Federal Tax Returns?
The numbers you write down:
did not understand why he told me that co sponser tax paid
2005 tax is 14100usd
2006 tax is 13900usd
2007 tax is 17044usdDoes this mean how much money each year (GROSS INCOME) the co sponsor made?
or
Does this mean how much tax money (TAX MONEY) was paid?
It is very confusing how you present your request for help...What is required:
The primary sponsor needs to earn 125% above the poverty guideline to sponsor you. Here is a link to the guidelines for 2008:
http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1327.htmlThis is how household size is calculated:
Sponsor = 1
You = 1
Both of you = 2 (gross income needed is $17,500.00 - 48 states) For Alaska and Hawaii residents it is higher.
If the sponsor has listed dependents (children) on their tax return, then the gross income requirement increases. See chart at the link provided.
The JOINT SPONSOR/CO-SPONSOR is required to follow the same rule (Sponsor 1, You 2, and any dependents they have). But it seems like your joint sponsor has enough money if you look at the chart.
They need to provide a complete tax return with all supporting documents (1099's and w-2s). Joint sponsor must be US citizen.
