OMG I have so done that; and I had accused everyone of "stealing" my super cool black sunglasses, only to find them in, you guessed it, a jacket unworn for months.
Red cheeks for sure.

...your husband tells your supervisor "thank you for riding my wife" when he picks her up to take her to work after her car breaks down.

(Yes, this actually happened a few months ago. *LOL!* I love my French-Canadian and his occasional misuse of the English language.)
Ron/Sharon
Thank you, I hope there are sparkles for everyoneat least blue skies and bright days ahead, we all could use some and that would make for good news.

Awwww....congrats! As insignificant as some people think a wedding band is after all we go through to get there, to me, it's like the final "you did it!"
I'm happy for your sparkles...

Oh, I miss my sailing days on Lake Ontario and Lake Erie! Yes, lake sailing on the Great Lakes is pretty phenomenal!

Don't you love it when you get treated to a lovely homemade Ukrainian dinner from new friends you met on VJ? Joe and I visited Anna and Richard last night - they also live in Stockbridge, and Anna is originally from Kiev. We had a wonderful meal, complete with Ukrainian vodka and cognac, and had an enjoyable evening visiting afterwards.

That is a lovely way to spend an evening, and with Ukrainian food to boot! Perogies, cabbage rolls, yum yum.

Don't you just it when . . . . your kitty decides today that you are Queen Sheba, and they will honour you with purrs and snuggles. luv.gif

You live in Florida, don't you? laughing.gif

I love it when your laptop stops working so you drag it all the way to Canada with you (and literally fall over it in the airport cause you have so much stuff) for your future son-in-law to fix and he calls a few hours later to ask "What, exactly, is wrong with it?" Yep... you guessed it.... it worked fine for him. Guess it just needed a vacation. mad.gif

Oh, I'm sorry. I guess this should have been in the vent thread. tongue_ss.gif
Cassie
......you finally find the piece in the jigsaw puzzle whose empty hole has been driving you crazy?

(can you tell what I have been doing on my holiday weekend?? whistling.gif )
bluegreen
You get your pretty new Target Visa card (which you applied for as a Canadian) in the mail the day before you get your SS Card in the mail, so you call customer service and advise them that you have emigrated from Canada to the States and they apply all your new info, and then you are instantly building credit in the US. Now I don't have to use my Canadian cc with the stupid 2.5% surcharge in the US, and I have avoided getting a secured card. Yay! And whoever posted here on VJ about this idea - THANKS!!

Also, I love it when you wake up on Vancouver Island and look out the window and there is mist and cloud caught over the lake and the low lying hills, and it is also sunny and it is also raining lightly. It was like that here in Victoria thi morning (I'm visiting my parents).

Bluegreen, you made me so homesick with your description of Vancouver Is. Congrats on your SS and credit cards.
And Warriorprincess, the smell of rain on earth (soil) is divine.
I lived on one of the golf islands and I loved it when I saw the sun streaks through the tall cedars and fir trees.
Oh the scent of the forest was intoxicating. Mmmmm....
star_smile.gif

Missing puzzle pieces huh Cassie?
I get obsessed when I am faced with a jigsaw puzzle.
I won't sleep/rest until I finish it.
Hahaha!
Thankgodd I don't have them around too often....it's been years. good.gif

Krikit, that is what is known as the phenomena of technology.
You got hit with the classic scenario. laughing.gif
