when i got my SSN with my married name, i cried.. haha.. THAT was what made it official for me.. then came the driver's license.. then all my credit cards, then my name changed at work.. then i got my passport.. just kinda weird.. at work, we have to sign everything. i had to practice my new name a billion times cuz i kept signing my old name! well, in some cases it doesn't really matter, but my RN license has my married name on it, and by law, i am now that person.. (well duh!)

the new passport is kinda weird, isn't it? all stiff.. but it's pretty! lots of scenic pictures.. and now it has a chip!

i look like a retard on my license pic. i got off work, all 12 1/2 hours of it, decided that i will go to the dmv and get my new license. i was still wearing my scrubs, my eyes were bloodshot and puffy, hair all over the place. i have no idea why i thought i didn't need to get new pics done with this name change, but i didn't. hence, the reason i look like crap. i have never changed my license pic since i got my license when i was 17!! it was kinda special.. i tried to weasel my way out of the pic taking but it didn't work..

I don't know why I am making excuses for not going in???? I hate the DMV and everything involved in it. I'll have to just suck it and and do it. You did after a 12 1/2 hour shift... I don't have any excuses

i had to.. they wouldn't let me get my new passport if my license wasn't changed also.. i was surprised you already got your new passport before your license.. i didn't have any other form of ID with my new name so i had to get my license. actually, for the name change, it was pretty quick. it was the picture taking that took forever.. just go ahead and go in.. it's not going to hurt.. haha!

On this thread where you have posted...right below the indian flag there is written My Timeline, click on that. If you have not made one yet then do so and that timeline page with your filing date and service center information calculate the time keeping the other entries at VJ as record to compare to and show you the date you should be expecting your case to be adjudicated. haha! i never say that to anybody before i give them a shot.. i am always honest and tell them i hate needles and this is somewhat going to sting, especially as soon as the medication goes in.. most of the time they say they didn't even feel it..

how come they wouldn't take my marriage contract? (that's how they call it in the philippines) retarded post office! too many requirements. but the past is past. everything is changed so that's all that matters.

This is what I found: "Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between January 30, 2009 and March 5, 2009*."

Do this mean that my case is projected to be completed by this date (completely done with Interview and all that stuff) or is this the date when only the I-130 will be approved and then ill have to go through NVC and the embassy?

only approved... sorry about that. i know it looks very bleak but you never know.. those are just estimates anyway. i have seen so many people who get approved way earlier than the projected times of VJ

Yes, if you are sponsoring him alone and your income is enough, you can use the I-864EZ. In the beginning of the form there is a small checklist which states if you can answer yes to all, then you can use the EZ.

Yes, we did the same thing. We started early getting all of the documents together, and I had her sign the DS-230 and she started working on the vaccinations, which I regret now since she is now pregnant and the doctor is concerned about the vaccinations. Plus, I had her sign multiple copies, just in case something happend to the form, like i spilled coffee on it or something.

i read about your wife's vaccinations.. i hope everything will be ok!

i have double of everything too in case something happens to the other one, as I, myself, am extremely uncoordinated, thereby, will probably spill something on it

And not only spilling things. I got an RFE from the NVC on my I-864EZ form because they said it was not an original signature. And they even had a supervisor check it. But I know it was original because I have not made photocopies of any of the visa forms I have filled out. I always make multiple copies and sign them all or have my wife sign them all.

Your best bet is to ask some of the other going through you consulate...they might even scan their forms they received from the consulate and email to you so you know what to expect.

Also to those haveing the forms filled outand signed in advance, I would suggest having 2 or 3 forms signed in case they get lost in the mail when you send back to NVC. :-) Just never know and when it's crunch time you don't want to worry about it. :-)

yup, that's the plan.. have a lot of them filled out and signed in case of ANY kind of "event."

That's why when I resent it, I signed with a Blue pen. Because the instructions said the original signiture needed to be either in black or blue ink.

the DS-230 part II is completed. Part 1 i just need his education info then that's done. going to take all that with me when i go back this august.. all 3 years of my tax transcripts are ready, along with my W2's.. although the manila embassy only required 1 year. (ya never know with these people!)

my I-864EZ is completed also. just need my employment letter which will be easy to get. i'm waiting kind of last minute with that one 'cause i want it to include my new salary. (just got a raise.)

we might just email the DS-3032.. but that is complete also if we decide to snail mail..

i know i am soooo getting ahead of myself but why not? might as well.. if you guys have all the information, just start with all the forms. if nothing is going to change, then fill them up, when the time comes, your spouse can just sign it.

what i've done with the G-325a's was i filled them out in PDF format, emailed it to him, then he just downloaded it, signed it, then sent it back to me. better me filling them out than him.. ( i have control issues)

I've printed them now i'll have to carve out some time to fill them out. My new job starts a week from Monday and alot better pay so we will be waiting on that one.... but what else is there to do but wait??

simply search on google for ds3032 and save the form. You (your spouse) also has the option of emailing this to the NVC. see loto's guide.
