Received at Chicago Lock Box on May 11th
NOA1 dated May 16th
Received hard copy of NOA1 in mail on May 19th
Touched on May 20th (Petition entered in their system)

I mailed the I-130 on 04/30/08. Vermont received it on 05/08/08... And I received the NOA-1 on 05/12/08.

I guess I am a May filer... jejeje

hey may filers, i found this thread. She has been tracking NOA1/NOA2 with CR1/IR1 filers.. add your name to the list. well, im with CSC, and it looks about 60-80 days between receiving the NOA1 and NOA2. Not bad at all... i hope it holds true..

we don't have enough data.. but as you can see from the spreadsheet, january filers are being approved at this time..

I can see by your timeline that we sent the I-130 on the same day to Chicago. The only diference is that I received my NOA-1 on 05/12/08.

Hey I also am in the club of the ones that check USCIS EVERYDAY day looking for changes... even though I know its to premature for that. HAHAHA

I really think its just as you said... we will all get approved sooner than what we think.

I just noticed this was only for IR-1/CR-1 filers.. got to go start a new May AOS 2008 Filers....

aha! and the race is on! hehehe.. i swear our local usps here is the slowest ever! i should have just sent it regular and it probably would have gotten there at the same time or faster. another thing i don't understand is that my NOA1 was may 13, and yet i didn't receive the hard copy till the 19th! the letter was even postmarked the 13th.. i know the place where i live isn't exactly los angeles, but it's not somewhere in the boonies. (well, sort of)

spoke to my husband couple of hours ago. he wanted to come here as soon as possible. he's tired of waiting. but i have a couple of days to think about it (long weekend and all) the I-129f is all ready to go but can't be mailed till tuesday..

im trying to compare the two: CR1 or K3. I wish i had more data for CSC and the MANILA consulate. i heard CSC is approving the K3 faster.. but then i heard it's about the same as the K3. but then as soon as NVC sends the stuff to MANILA, i think that's when K3 is faster.. i think... ah sheeesh... the heck... i need to stop thinking..

i wish i'll have a great long weekend, but alas, i will be WORKING the great long weekend.. getting ready for work now..

oh, and about checking it online.. i just checked it again. of course there's nothing! hahaha! it's an obsession!!

So how do you know when your NOA1 is sent when you haven't recieved it yet????

Hey Rajaa!!!! Check your case on line....it will tell you the date the NOA1 is mailed to you.

I would but It asks for a reciept number... don't have that yet is there another way? or am I on the wrong place (so completly possible lol)

I didn't think there was another way around - just gotta sit tight for the next couple of weeks until the official letter arrives in your hot lil hands. Once you have receipt number, you're good to go but then the obsessions starts......lol Ever since hubby submitted petitions, time seems like its slowed down.

you could try checking the back of the cashed check. WAC**********. My number was a digit higher than the one stamped on the back. for example, the last number was a 6, try a 7. It might work.

this forum is like therapy. we are all obsessed about this crap! hehe!

hahaha.. i hardly count myself an expert. my mom keeps wanting me to get a lawyer. i keep telling her that it's probably not necessary as the lawyer won't speed up anything anymore than i can.

hmm.. im gonna try to do a spreadsheet of just MAY CR1 filers and track ourselves that way. TRY is the key word here.. don't know if i know what i'm doing!

i have this feeling that you shouldn't have sent your I-130 to the local office. it might not appear online. Should've been sent to the Chicago Lockbox first then they transfer to whatever local office it's suppose to go to. That could be the reason for the delayed NOA1. But i have a feeling that you will be getting yours next week. After all, this was a holiday weekend. Nothing was done..

Yeah thats true. I was reluctant at first to join this forum thinking people would be clueless here but we had already consulted two good immigration lawyers and they both were useless. Waste of money too. Husband and I signed up together and since that day this forum has proven to be extremely helpful. Everyone here is wonderful and helpful.

We had filed back in January and had received NOA2 within 3 months but unfortunately thanks to the stupid lawyers and their advice there was some complication with the case. Imagine we had to turn back from the point where we only needed to file DS-230 at NVC. Now its a fresh start with all documents needed. Hoping for a swift approval. Hope its goes smoothly for others too. Thanks again!

WE got our NOA1 today but the notice date was May 23rd. Whooo hoooo now it begins.

wow.. are you serious?? my mom is really encouraging for us to get a lawyer but I told her that they are not going to make the USCIS process anything faster. and I told her that a lot of people do it on their own, and that there are a lot of useful websites with guides.

hmm.. i don't know.. i would just wait and see. calling USCIS won't do any good, I think. I saw a poster there said that she didn't include the 4 months she was in the states and she was approved. sorry, Kelvin.. this is when "inexperience" comes in on our part. if they do send an RFE, just be prepared. Might delay it couple of weeks but nothing significant if that was your only mistake. I don't even want to review mine for fear I made retarded mistakes.. I am just going to wait for any kind of mail from them
