I have a question, I am a beneficiary. I have just sent to my husband a pile of papers that go alonge with DS-230 to National Visa Center. I got a Police certificate and translated it and notarised the translation, I copied my birth certificate and translated it and notarized the translation, marriage certificate is in English bz we got married in the US. The thing that I didn't do is I didn't send my original birth certificate, do I have to do so or can I bring it to the interivew. Bz US Embassy in Moscow says that I you can bring the originals of documents that were not sent to NVC to the interview appointment. I am hesitant to send an origninal Russian Birth certificate bz I am afraid it is going to get lost on the way to the US and on the way back here. So what do you think?
If you applied for IR or CR recently for a Russian spouse, please share your experience?

I know you are looking for someone who has done an IR or CR specifically... but... the moscow embassy didn't have any issues with us sending in the copy and bringing originals to the interview (that I believe they never looked at).
