Hi,

I am applying for the police certificates in Hyderabad.
One of the requirements as part of the application is to get affidavits from two gazetted officers,on two separate 10Rs stamp papers,

The content is as below -

1.I know xyz d/o ABC,H.No and the remaining address.
2.I wish to state that his character and conduct is good etc etc..

Question -
I have lived in 3 different places in Hyderabad.What should the address in point 1 be ?? Should it be my current address or should all the previous addresses also be listed?

Please reply asap.I need to go in sometime to get the matter printed on the stamp papers.

Do you have other proof of residency, and if so, what address is that? How long have you lived at your present address as compared to the other addresses? I would think it would be best to use your present address only, if possible.

My husband lived in Hyd 2 years (at three different addresses) but because he could not prove residency, they wouldn't give him a PCC. He just got one from the Vizag passport office and his E.G. dist village home and that was enough.

In my case i lived in punjab from my birth but i lived in two cities, where i am living presently even i changed my resident here as well.

As per reciprocity I am going to send them PCC from district police and PCC from Passport office(with previous address)

Let see what will happen.

Just for future reference: It is always better to get it for present and current address. I had stayed at four different places in Hyderabad covering 16 years. I mentioned my latest and current address for the affidavit and the person signing it stated that he knew me for last 15 years. You can edit paragraph to suit the grammar accordingly. I did it.
