Im just going with wedding straight away. I love my family and friends and did try and please everyone but at the end of the day this visa and then arranging a wedding is more stressful then anything and you cant please everyone. I just want to get married to andrew and of course i want my friends and family there but if i went with one idea another wouldnt work out and vice versa so weve set a date and sticking to it. A weddings lovely but the outcome will be the same regardless and thats to marry andrew.

Oh Hannah, I'm so sorry. I know exactly how you feel. I know John has said we are having two ceremonies, but b/c of how annoying my family is we are giving everyone over a years notice about our wedding date. I figure as we are giving them enough time to be involved cause at the end of the day I know this is selfish but it is our day. So I think we should be able to set the criteria. - melannie

K i know its quite a silly thing to do But everythings booked for our wedding, venue photographer dj, dress, bridesmaid dresses, rings, even right down to the napkins! All there needs is a visa haha. well the last person to be approved on igors list was a april filer of april 10th and they had an rfe, on the 19th of august, and they were approved the 26th.

also theres been three approvals this week so far thats one a day. hows that make you feel better?
also as for the visa being approved for the wedding. if its in the new year i recon you will have plenty of time cos the uk embassy is quite sensitive to time restrains, i belive if you put a date of departure and wedding down, thats already been set. they try to give you an interview in time. its just the service center part. that doesnt seen to care.

on a personnal note i'm less than £300 shy of clearing that b@$t@ student overdraft.

Youre right about igors list Looks like theyre making slow but steady progress. I guess if you look at all he people waiting for their NOA2s further down the list that gives you some idea of the huge enormity of applications that the CSC has to shift through (and those rae only the ppl registered with VJ right?) I feel better than yesterday now becuse whenever i get back from work at night i excitedly look at my email to see if ive recieved anything. Hopefully its Getting closer. Im literally gunna pee myself when i get it hahahahahha

i know what you mean i go through spells where i think it could very well ahve happened today and check the site constantly then i think ahh its not gunna happen and give up checkng for a bit. but you are right vj is just a tiny dop in the ocean as far as applications for visas are concerned so for evrery one or two we see approved god knows how many are actually going out. can you finish paying off your bank account after you leave?cos although its better for me, cos i'm paying interest on it. i thought it wasnt an opion anyhow, hense why i've been panniciking about clearing a 2 k overdraft ho hum oh well at least it will be sorted and then i can leave the student loan till america. you dont want to know how big that one is. now i need to scrap some £££ together for the wedding and visa and after. which is gunna be tidly. quite frankly after the overdraft i'm worried i can raise enough for visa costs let alone my half of the wedding. in the time i have left. i need to win the lottery sigh

What im going to do is just snr back money to my dad and ask him to put money into my bank account. I think theres a small charge on the conversion rate but as long as its in a big sum and you do it all in one it doesnt matter too much. I dont think the banks care how you do it as long as theyre getting their money!!

How much is visa costs. Ive put £110 for medical , and transport to and from london ect ive put in all about £300 aside. How much is the actual visa cost? Do we have to pay once it gets issued coz ive had a J1 visa before and i had to pay £60 after it was approved

We are having two as well. One civil just for the sake of the K1 and being ready to be married, and after saving up for some 6 months, a more proper wedding reception+ceremony.

knightsbridge charge £180 for medical and then additional charges for each vaccinatio they give you. i think i was quoted $131 dollers for visa and £14 for delivery. but i'm thinking aos as well and filght plus getting to london from kent in time gunna be over £20 min each time. and then there is compiling evidence like i may need a new birthcertificate, plus police report. doctors might charge me £10 or £20 for privilage of typing up my vaccination records ect.. it all adds up. i did try doing a breakdown of expected costs and gave up co i was getting downhearted.

Does anyone know why there are some people that filed in February getting approved??wow theyve been waiting a long time. I know that there was a huge amount of applications at that time but im so worried that we might be one of the unfortunate ones waiting ages for our approval. I just cant see and end to this madness

well something just happened to day or paerhaps something was slipped in to someones coffee cos there are three approvals =just updated though one isnt showing yet on igors. add those to the ones that should be there and vito and i should be 106. plus one of the new approvals is 25th april. I'm feeling a lot happier and optimistic again. i can't wait for Vito to get home from work, hes working an hour later than normal, an hes not got back yet.

we moved up to 160

You are currently #77. People say its all good after 100 because approvals seem to come any time after that.

it's divided into various sections:

2nd section is last 20 K3 filers to be approved on VJ.
3rd section is those still waiting for NOA2 from CSC on VJ.


3rd part is basically sorted by date that NOA1 was sent to CSC...so it just goes in that order...the closer to #1 the older the filing date...

WTF. Vito just got an email, from BA Airways. He booked his flights about 18th june time for the 24th of sept and flying bk on the 9th oct. but because he left it one day too long he ended up paying $100 more than he would have if he booked the nite or two before. well the email has anounced a sale and if he booked his flights tonite it would be $200 cheaper than the price he paid and the price he paid would now be an upgrade does anyone know if he can at least upgrade with out it costing him cos it looks like they charge $200 dollers for changing flight dates or cancelling.

I'd suggest he ask to speak to a supervisor. I had problems with my cell company, and I called and complained every day for 2 weeks, and finally got hung up on. Now when my # shows up on their caller id, they transfer me directly to "esclations" which means I speak directly to a supervisor. The supervisor cleared things up in 24 hours+ called ME back to let me know. She was able to get things done which i had been told were impossible, completely out of the question. Ironically, "esclations" is very similiar to what Melannies current job is. i tease her that the next tear i go on against call center people, i'm going to find myself saying "hi honey"

i think the first touch we got was being shoved into a box or when the check cashed and the seciond was cos they had to send us a letter about an inquiry we made so i'm not sure it will do us any favors unless it means it was given out early. but some how i doubt it.

i know its half way through the day, but with all the prompt anounncements yesterday of approvals that were from that day. i've yet to notice once from csc for today. hopefully its just cos no-one is back yet from work.

I am so glad that I'm not the only one mentally removing duplicates from Igor's List!! Even knowing the limitations and inaccuracies of the list, it makes me feel better to see some progress, somewhere.

On a related note: I called USCIS today to let them know that I had received the document that had been sent back to them (the hard copy of my NOA-1 had been sent back because they won't forward USCIS mail--who knew?!!). The guy with whom I spoke said that for some reason (and none of them know the reason) USCIS hadn't updated their systems this month, so there was no way to clear the stopper from my account. He thought it had something to do with the massive influx of applications they had received in late July/early August and speculated that they were trying to get caught up before updating. I'm not sure how much I buy that, but it's some information anyway!

ha this is almost like the most rediclous and bizzar insurance claims. not one reason given to one person is the same as the one given to the next a minute later. though i wouldn't be suprised if it is delayed on purpose so they can catch up.

There is more then that if you read some of their posts I saw at least 3 breakups of people that canceled the visa process.

Just remember it's a guide most people get approved 135 days plus or minues 15 days. So usually arouns 120 days you start to check. can use the stats page and do a query to realy get a good ETA on time line.

if you look at our ticker you will see why i'm being extra perdantic recently. who has broken up and cancelled the process on the list? didnt see that. and i thought i went through them all.

hasn't anyone been approved today? it makes me feel better to see some approval anouncements and there were loads yesterday, but i havn't seen any yet for today

I've spoken with the current #8, I think they might update their timeline. They are so far as to have an interview Sept 26
