Hi again...

Am gonna die before i get my NOA2.. the wait kills and i think that means we should file to expertise the visa process.....

Still stuck at 159 on igors list and i cant see any changes for over 2 days now.. nothing has changed on the USCIS site as well sad.gif(

For the first time, reading all over VJ i read someone was denied k1 and was given a white slip?????? this scares me... do k1's only get white slips or any other slips ? are we entitled to be in the AP like k3's ?

all the best for everyone waiting... many thanks for your help star_smile.gif

i think when people talk about ap on here, they either mean advanced parole (which is to travel before green card and renter) or additional processing. it seems to me all visa applications might be subject to additional processing at the uscis's discression. but don't give up hope charel, i bet majority here of k1s get approved if not eventually. i think the slips are colour coded, each colour means different but i dont know whats what. i think there is a green slip and a pink slip and i think you are also right about the white slip. not sure which is visa approved and what the others are for. think everyone in this thread has a little bit longer to wait for approval, but not long i recon we are talking days or two or three weeks for may filers, so just round the courner if april is anything to go by.

Gotcha. Yeah, let's hope it was not expidited!!! Don't they do a lot of approving mid-week? We'll see what happens tomorrow...
Hannah+Vito
i sent them a message on theri profile congradulating them and asked them if they minded telling me if it was nromal processing or expidite, even invited them to this thread so hopefully they will reply and let us know. i know what you mean dairyfarmer, being that they are the last two weeks of may, it seems too good to be true yet its soo close to our months turn who knows. glo and cole got aproved extreamly early like two weeks due to their rfe, so who knows. maybe this means they have dished out our months already. good.gif

The only may filer had a lawyer and the post on their profile say that they werent sure when it was filed.. they assume its may but they had sumbitted papers in March, I think the lawyer must have filed it in march and dint inform the couple....

So its not a may filer.. they have their timeline wrong

i do hope its just around the corner 20and8, the wait is really getting to me now, just as i'm sure it is for everyone, but i'm kinda hoping i might get it in time so that i can at least take my medical when Vito is here on the 25th of sept for two weeks innocent.gif I'm not sure if i need to wait for the embassy to have my packet though or whether i need to give the civil surgen a special number otherwise i might be able to do it anyway. unsure.gif

As far as I'm aware, you can't go for your medical until you have packet 3 and the instuction to do so.

I really wanted to break that 100 mark this week, or at least be in the very near vicinity. It seemed likely last Monday, but today, I am really starting to doubt it. crying.gif I console myself with the fact that within a month, we wont be on Igors list kicking.gif At least, I hope not unsure.gif

Depending on your country your medical has a 6 or 12 month expiry period. So you may be able to go for it before you recieve packet 3.

Hi Melannie,

Maybe b/c you are in Australia? From my research I have found out us British can't get it done until the embassy call us to do so. Good if you can though, wish I could!

I have everything ready to go....police cert ect.... just waiting whistling.gif

I'd guess that you NOA2 should be very very soon! Hang in there!

With ref to times....it depends on what country your in? I know London are one of the quickest. It roughly takes a month to get the approved petition sent over to your country. Then packet 3 gets sent. Depending on how long you take to complete this and send it back, this will save you some time if like you say, your "ready". Then a few weeks wait to hear about your interview....then that could be in the following few weeks. Then a week or so to get your passport back, with your K1 Visa in it! kicking.gif

So...your about right with your times. That is the scale I'm working too. Hope that helps.

Ps. I just want to be there in time for Xmas, I'll cry if not!

Are you sure?? I know of two couple on here in the past 6 or so months who made appointments with the Medical office before they were called. I searched but couldn't find their details. I'll keep looking and PM you if I find them they may be able to give more info.

I'm in the UK now and b/c we didn't expect it to take so long. I may have to go through it all again. My Medical is due to run out in Decemeber sad.gif
Marmite Lovers!
I'm just going from the evidence I have found...
Specific instructions will be included in the information sent to the foreign fiancé(e) from that US Embassy.

I would have had mine done by now if there was a way around it. I do believe you need a number, which is sent to you. Also, I don't think the embassy doctors will see you until you have your paperwork from the embassy.

If you find anything different, please let me know.

You'll be done by December! Is the medical you have done by a certified USA embassy Doc?

i believe the medical is valid for around 6 months possibly a year i did read that if you had a medical in the last for your k1 at aos you dont need another. but the number thing 20and8 is talking about is what i'm concerned about. will have to find out for sure. unsure.gif

Hmm, California has been in some major budget issues in the last 2 months, and threats about cutting worker pay have been looming.

Anyone know if USCIS adjudicators are on the state payroll, or on federal?

Btw, this no approvals thing is pissing me off. There's no holidays this month, and not a single one until the beginning of next month. This is why I wonder if the budget issue may be reason behind the slow down.

dont panick septemebr is the begining of their new fiscal year according to an attorney that we spoke to so they will have a lot of money compared to now and will prob hire more staff, he told us this when we asked how long it will take and he explained that when they have less money they shift staff around to other areas, and it will take longer and then when they begin their new year and have more money again they get more staff put into their areas. it could be a reason for the last two weeks now you think about it it has been rather slow but then you have a week of just 13 then a week of 31 then bk to just 14 if you look on the stats on igors unsure.gif

well thats what they have put in the july update, and i'm only quoting what the attoney explained to us, maybe i'm remembering it wrong maybe its slightly earlyer than sept but i know its different months and dates to everyone elses fiscal year unsure.gif and i deffinatly sure all our fiances would be up there doing gratis if it was an option laughing.gif

I'm fairly certain USCIS is federal, funded by the filing fees we pay.

I had heard that too, that Sept is the new fiscal year. So, HAPPY NEW YEAR CSC!!!!!! Now, get the new year started right and clear the backlogs....please

I'm sure things are progressing...as I've said before, Igor's isn't as accurate as people like to think...there are a lot of variables involved, and human error is one of those. Even if CSC has slowed down, I'm sure things will progress quickly soon enough. I'm sure we'll get some processing going again!

I've been focusing on the embassy stuff now, gathering information and the like so that we're prepared and can have as little downtime as possible after this hurdle! Plus it helps with not driving myself insane! hehe

I'm being extremely lazy, but does anyone have a quick link for all the in's and out's for what to do after the NOA2 is received? Forms to fill out, papers to gather, etc.
Hannah+Vito
ugg i feel like i'm going round in circles, and like we are not getting anywhere, i still haven't sat down and got the paper work done have been bk to the doctors since the last lot of no help i got and i still havent made my wedding dress or bridesmaid dresses cos my overdraft isnt finish paid off yet, but i have finish designing them whistling.gif guess thats something huh? unsure.gif

Forms to fill out, papers to gather, etc.

have you read the guides up top ^ the others are always telling people to do it so it must be in there some where unsure.gif

hello guys, me and fiance filed last April and we got our NOA May 1st. its 3 months after that now and we still have not gotten any word from the lawyer, we also constantly check our case status online and it has not changed also. i was starting to get worried but then i have read all your posts here and found out that it would take 4-5 months before we could hear from the USCIS again. that was a great relief.

ooops wrong thread sorry.
