I just read glo and coles noa2 thread, just over 3 months thats amazing, its also making me antsy cos they were rfed after just over 50 something days of filling and we had to be touched, for a name update at just over 60 something days, do you think if they have to touch you they then alocate you to an officer or do you think they actually allocate everyone at around about this time? unsure.gif either way i'm bouncing up and down cos its looking like the possiblity of having noa2 before Vito visits a little more possible kicking.gif kicking.gif congradulations glo and cole!!

Sorry to bump into May filer thread. I just want to say thanks to Hannah+Vito for your congrats. May filer CSC is turning their turbo for approval now. You guys are going to see the light very soon. It may be way more earlier than your expect. Hang in there and good luck!!! good.gif

yeh we went bk one from 159 to 160, there are too very recently updated april filers just in front of us though and i can't remember if they were there before or not. never mind, on the list or notthey were in front of us and still have to be proccessed before us. just be glad vj is only a drop in the pool of those filling at csc could you imagine the size of the lists that the service centr has wacko.gif
Hannah+Vito
just realised cool.gif by the end of next week they will have had our petition for 100 days another 20 of those and it will be 4 months, and hopefully we can start the vidual for that coverted noa2, whistling.gif

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its been long since i posted anythig but i have been going through the posts every weekend.. i am excited to see that march is getting processed but the processing times in the USCIS says January 2008.. as per the igor's list; we who applied in may should have it max by sept.. i hope this is true and i have my fingers, toes, eyes, nose crossed smile.gif

am sure the wait is killing everyone and am on 179 on the igor's list..keep posting.. kicking.gif
Hannah+Vito
152 what a welcome jump we made this morning! was 160 good.gif

i agree charel i'm thinking sept will be the month they start approving may fillers at the latest, possibly half way through august its difficult to tell they used to start half way through a month and when we started i thought half way through august till the rest of sept would be it for may, but they did slow a little, so i thoguht ju7st sept and now it looks like they are speeding up again, unsure.gif
Jason&Sarah
we're at 192, so about 7 spaces jumped! I'm betting Sarah and I will get the approval towards the end of September...that's actually what we were counting on anyway...So when she leaves here on the 30th to go home, she'll be able to dive right into working on getting the packet 3 sent in and all that. Anyone know of where it is you can see the embassy's processing time? I remember browsing one day, and I found a site that had the approximate waiting days, but I can't remember where...

At least you folks from England have a pretty historically accurate days-to-NOA2 based upon a lot of filers. Hardly any Greeks seem to emigrate here, so don't have much consistency in terms of how long it's going to take not only for the NOA2 but for the rest of the process as well.

Dunno why I'm thinking so negatively, but I seem to be assuring myself I'll be getting an RFE. Sure as hell am hoping not. sad.gif

At 200 today. It's become my morning ritual at work, first thing to do each day is to check Igor's List and share the number with my colleague.

I'm sorry you are so down. But be positive, I always believe a little in fate and self-fulfilling prophesies. Start beleiving you won't get an RFE and b/c there aren't many in Greece who go through what you have the interview list will be REALLY short. best of luck.
Hannah+Vito
ooooh yes.gif the earliest adudication date on our timeline is the 25th of september. seen as most get theirs quite a bit before their timeline date one said a month , the other day, thats gotta b good right? unsure.gif either way the processing times must be getting shorter if the computer calculations are back tracking? unsure.gif

srvt cheer up. you prob wont get an rfe most dont and its not the end just a short delay anyhow. and melanie and john are right, less people doing it the less people in front of you in the que. devil.gif
Jason&Sarah
I would say if you haven't gotten an RFE by now, it's probably a fairly safe bet you won't. You're over the 1/2 way point of filing, so I think you should be fine, buddy.

hmmm i've been wondering about the joys of driving. unsure.gif currently i have a provisional english drivers licence. i once had a few lessons many moons ago but stopped when i had no money. i'm nowhere near passing the test and being able to drive, i havent had lessons since i was 18 (i'm almost 26 now. and i dont have my theory. it doesn't really affect me here, untill Vito comes to stay and i wish i could drive to pick him up. sad.gif to behonest i could do with not spending any money before i leave for America (touch wood). thing is in Los Angeles it seems i will really need a car. and i was thinking of just learning there and paying for one test instead of paying for two to transfer my licence into an american one. but i don't understand the way it works with imigrants over there inbetween green card and visa. unsure.gif anyone else looked into this?
was thinking of starting learning while waiting for my ead and green card but then if the licence runs out when the i 194 expires does that mean i have to start all over again? unsure.gif

well the attorney we spoke to before filling did say their financial year was sept to august and at the begining they hire more staff and then towards the end they get put else where. though to be honest i think its more to do with the fact that we are getting further away from the 2007 summer when they uped the filling fee apprently it took them longer because of the extra load they had.

I think you maybe referring to the one next to your own timeline on VJ. This can change when people on VJ update their timelines. The dates are averaged. So it can go back and forwards, based on the total of all relevant info. We jumped too smile.gif

how is everyone? Vito and I had amde it to 140 on igors last time i checked good huh? hope everyone is doing fine. i'm nackered just done a charaty gig at the bar where i work so custom was quadrupled even though it had to be done indoors as it was peeing down with rain all day and noise volume was amazing. dancin5hr.gif

hmm they say things start happening around the hundred amrk on igors.... unsure.gif do you think they can get through 40 approvals in two weeks? biggrin.gif

how funny the timeline is saying the first possible date of approval for us is the day after Vito arrives for his visit.

whistling.gif i'm suprised one of my regualr bar flies hasn't already been in the local willam hill already and put one on rofl.gif

thinking about it, thats what 20 approvals next week and 20 the week after, its possible plus next week is the 15th of the month, proccessing time update week plus a sudden surge in out put too. yes.gif i recon if we have the same luck as the appril lot we will at least see the first may filer in the last week of august. tongue.gif

hmmm i wonder what odds willaim hill would give me? did you ever get the story of the elderly terminally ill man who won a hell of a lot off of them, some thing like 100 thousand cos he bet that he would live longer than the six months the doctors had given him? ohmy.gif

I'm not as optimistic, but I'm certainly not against having that many approvals!

It's really a dream scenario, since I'm going to Greece for Xmas+New Years, for me to visit there, with Betty having her visa in hand, so she can come back with me. Anything that heightens those chances, I'll cheer for more than my own hockey team. biggrin.gif

my dream senario is to be able to have my interview and medical while vito is here from25th sept till 9th oct. but the timeline is suggesting thats when the noa2 will happen, but we will see dreams still do happen, or wouldn't be engaged to the most amazing man right now blush.gif

i think january visa complete approvals would be the complete outside amrk for may filers, who knows if you get your noa2 in sept, and not may go through the greece embassy as you say, she amy even have her visa in hand well before you intend to visit. unsure.gif good.gif

We have to expect weekends to be slow, unfortunatly. I'm trying to look forward to the update on the USCIS processing dates this week, and a big jump.

Trying to stay positive, it only took 3 weeks between the first March approval, and the first April one. Looking at it that way, a few of us may see approvals late this month.

Melannie and I met in a speed dating cell phone application. Strange but true! How'd you other May filers meet?

I'm a barmaid in a small hotel, in New F$$$ all to do Romney, and right before i went in to open up the bar at 6:30pm (thurs 23rd aug 07) my dad tells me there are some Americans staying in the hotel, well i got in and Vito, his dad, and his dads friend were already in there with drinks, whistling.gif . Vito turned around and saw me blush.gif and just smiled at me. after that he kept turning and smiling at me. blush.gif then he tried talking to me, blush.gif then for the next three nights he was super glued to the bar and asking me if i wanted to go for a walk with him. blush.gif on the sat night we had a charity gig and my sister was there, and she invited him to come with us the next morning shopping in a near by town, so on my day off we spent the day together (26th aug) and the rest is history as they say. blush.gif so i'm glad they chose to come to my town even if i thought they were nuts too whistling.gif

We both visited this one game forum, got fed up with their childish rules, went to a user-made alternative forum, started actually noticing each other in the forum's little chatbox. She was going through a majorly hard time with her ex, who was utterly paranoid and insecure of everything. Basically a little girl. Came from Germany, refused to speak Greek, treated her like crap because of his own insecurities, yadda yadda. So he's back in Germany now being happy, and she's being treated like a woman should be. We never visit either forum or chat anymore, just talk via Teamspeak/Phone/IM.

The short version is, we were friends for a while, I initially tried helping her manage her relationship, until eventually all the details creeped out, and helped her leave it. After I thought she was past the guy enough, I decided it was worth myself trying to be with her. We were highly attracted to each other, and it was more than evident when we met in San Francisco. Kinda made plenty of people feel uncomfortable the way we kissed in front of the baggage claim. I imagined everything would go smoothly and it did. Just one of those things where things just click on every cylinder. Communication is perfect, and all of the.. *other* things.

Both of us came into the relationship with realistic expectations, as well as patience and understanding, and it's that which is enabling this relationship to make it through what will likely be the toughest time. And for the record, not all people are rational. We both manage each other's bad sides well.

Btw, for you Britfolk, here's the story of the only time I ever went to England, in 1999... trying to type this fast since I'm off work in 3 minutes..

Mom was involved with an Englishman, who turned out to be just as insecure as my ex's ex. But while we visited, had an ok time. Stayed on a house boat in the Norfolk broads area for 3 weeks. Got seasick. Had an ear infection. Visited MANY Virgin music stores.. and there's no shortage there. Never see them around here. The music was ridiculously expensive compared to the cost here (import tariffs, perhaps). Wished they would take me somewhere fun since I'm not much of a "cathedral" or "sights" person if there's no lively entertainment like theme parks (which they apparently weren't into). I had my first ever migraine while there in England, and to put it in perspective (since I had never had one before, and never had once after), I was walking across one of the streets in one of the towns (Norwich?) and it was pounding so bad, I couldn't make it across the street, fell to my knees, put my head in my hands, and just gritted my teeth.

I actually rather enjoyed the pub food (not sure if this is a good or bad thing), and the beer was very nice as well. There was a girl that piqued my interest at the time, who is not important now.

When I left, I kinda had an ear infection. I tend to get sick everywhere I go that's not in California or the West Coast. When on the plane, you know, when your ears pop.. well.. my ears wouldn't pop. Wasn't so much a problem on the ascent, but for the descent, it was the worst plane experience ever. My head felt like it was going to explode. Tried gum, tried opening my jaw, tried everything but they wouldn't pop. Finally it felt like my ears just blasted like in those cartoons that is followed with the sound of a train "toot"ing, to signify one being mad.. ringing.. then nothing. Deaf. Was like this for 3-4 weeks. Being like that sounded like when you're in the shower and you have water+soap in your ears. You don't hear sounds, you hear movements and reverbs. I heard my own heart beating when I was running. Was pretty messed up.

Hopefully my trip to Greece for Christmas will be much better. wink.gif

Hopefully my trip to Greece for Christmas will be much better. wink.gif

blink.gif well that sucked, but you realise the theme parks are all bit further south from where u were right? unsure.gif and we have plenty of them, alton towers, lego land windsor, pontins, butlins, chesington world of adventures. and we have lots of virgin stores cos they are british so sorry about that yes branson is our responcibility, but they are not too bad and u gotta admirre his money making skills right? whistling.gif hope xmas goes better for you.

dairy farmer, what on earth is a speed dating cell phone application? unsure.gif

Its was this texting application where you got a screen name, age, and location, and when you selected someone, you had 10 mins to have a text conversation with them. I would do that some mornings, at about 5 am which was evening in Australia, while I waited for cow water tanks to fill. I was just killing time, and Melannie was just passing boring evenings. We chat a few times, then we really hit it off so we chatted in 10 min increments for a half hour every day. After about a month, we spoke on the phone, one thing led to another.....

The thing that shocks people who know me, is I'm not into technology at all, only got the internet after meeting Melannie. Plus while she is a world traveler, I've never been more than a couple hours from the farm where 4 generations of my family have lived. I've never flown, and have worked nearly full time since I was 9. If you add up all the days off I've had in that time, including surgery to put a work injury back together, you wouldnt need all your fingers. So marrying an Australian from a chat room shocks everybody. my cousin still doesnt believe thats how we met. I think a lot of people think Melannie must be a mail order bride or something.
