Fiance's interview is less than 2 weeks away. I think he has everything ready but I'm not 100% sure cause he's doing the guy thing and acting like it's no biggie. (like I said, I'm crabby today )

but i hav another question, on the ds 230 where i have to fill in my father address, i can only fit house number and nme and road name, not town or county, what should i do? its the same addres as my current by the way.

Things are going well here... Adriano is leaving the ship on Dec 7th and headed back to Brazil and all going well we're planning on a POE on Jan 26th (it was way cheaper to book round trip than two one ways, so hope that doesn't come back to haunt us!) Our case left the NVC on Friday. Does anyone know how to track it and see when it arrives in Rio?

And who has interviews soon? I'll be crossing my fingers and praying for all of you!!!!!! Hannah, maybe I'll have my preschoolers pray for you on interview day- they worked when it came to your NOA-2, right??

I think round trip tickets are cheaper anyway! If it's the cheaper option that's what we plan on doing (and not using the return portion )

OMG guys my NOA-2 has my middle initial wrong! Apparently on my 325A my last name is listed as both middle and last! Is this a big deal??? I'm freaking out! What do you think??

Isn't there is a number on there for you to call if you change your address? What if you called that number and ask about that? Just an idea.

I emailed my lawyer... My concern is that my birth certificate and passport both have my middle name (which starts with E). I wonder if he has the I129F that shows my correct middle name, and the 325A that has my last name listed as my middle name if that will suffice. I just don't want ANY reason to deny!

Oh, and thanks for that link... my info arrived in rio this morning! Yay! Or maybe not Yay, cause now there's no way to reach it to change... I hope my lawyer says this is no big deal.... please GOD let it be no big deal....

I'm back, after fighting through a computer virus the last 2 weeks. Hopefully, my computer is fixed now. I could have bought a new one for what I've spent fixing this one! Well, live and learn though! We dont have an interview date yet, hoping to hear something yet this week though.

rocks hope your medical goes well, take it from a major wuss its not that bd actually
the place is mlore like an appartment than a hospital of gp surgery. you give your form, they give you anoher opy thats a little bit more detailed. you fill it it. giv it bak. and th ray nurse will call you. you go through uikly put on a jaket coat. you dont have to strip completely so dont worry. an you do a two second chest xray by standing against a board. then you go through to another small waiting room an wait for the doctor
that took two seconds. she has a feel peek and takes your blood after a few quetions. and she is used to deaing with wusses or in my case a complete wreck and pansey. apparently shes an a&e doctor. after that you wait for the nurse to call you and she explains the injections. i opted to wait and get them at my doctor which on k1 you are aloed to do. the nurse will explain it all to you and also what you need or are missing.



i sent my checklist on tuesday as signed for and it recorded as having been delivered on the weds morning. so now i just wait . rocks i couldnt put national insurance number in the form it camr up as not accepting the letters in it and without them its not your ni number. also it was advised in a thread on here before i found, that uk doesnt have one and that your ni~ isnt the same thing as id number


jessica hope your lawyer gets back to you soon. i'm sure there is a suitable recourse for your problem.

thanks for the advice about the medical. i had it yesterday, it seemed to go ok but both of my arms hurt, can't wait for that to go away.

i put my national insurance number in the ds-156 form just fine that's what i don't understand, did you take out the spaces/hyphens?

I wouldn't freak out, not just yet. I'm sure if they need any info from you they will ask at the interview. Maybe you could see about changing the NOA2 at a later date?

We were approved on Nov 26th, long story about Cinara, all good though...I sent you a message this morning. Anyway she said that the interview was very fast...about 5 minutes, with very little questions. Should recieve the visa within 15 days. She mentioned that a few applicants were being interviewed intensively. I wish all of you who are next in line the best of luck, see you in the next leg of the journey...the green card!

can't remember but the error message was about putting letters in, and they wanted just numbers. i have found other post on here claiming that the national insurance number is not a national id.

well, i guess it doesn't matter now that you've sent it anyway.

now for the long wait.

We called today to DoS, and the lady there thought we should have an interview date set by next Friday at the latest. They are up to late Dec in London, so we should have an interview before new year. Then as soon as Melannie finishes up at her job, life will be good again!

You could still make it in time for Christmas!

Does anyone know if you are allowed to enter the U.S with a k1 without using it to enter?

Melannie would like to come here for the holidays, but has to stay in the U.K until late Feb on her job contract. As much as we'd like to be done with our visa before the holidays, in some ways it would be better for us if our interview was in Jan.

We dont want to postpone though as we are most eager to be through with this process, and will spend the holidays apart if that is the way it works out.

i think its automatically used. if you do a search you should (not that searches allways work)
come up with a few who have asked before but i think they make you use it when you enter even if you dont want to.

i'm pretty sure that it is too.

WE GOT OUR VISA at the chennai consulate. INDIA
After waiting for 4 hours at the consulate a 5 minute interview gave us the visa... we will write a complete review after we get back to my home town with better internet facilities...

hey everyone!! so sorry i havent checked in in a while but ive done quick read of this forum to catch me up and im sooo happy things are really moving!!!
ive been busy settling in and organising the wedding which i jan 10th!ordered flowers ect and tried on my dress with all jewlrey/shoes and whatnot the other day AND my best friend just called me to say thata her exam has been resheculed so she is prob coming now too! Just looking at flights so i can book one for her and im very relieved to see that they have gone down in price now ive just gotta find a bridesmaid dress for her which matched the others heheheh

oh and im almost certain melanie cant come to the states if her k1 is in her passport as it will automatically be used sorry, but it wont be long.........

I did try and find out to be doubly sure they got my checklist and forms but their system was down so i have to phone back.

i also asked if they had an estimated processing time for getting interviews and she told me the emssay would tell me that i was the phone to the embassy hotline. i thought thats who i contact for info about the embassy?

I guess we are lucky then, for the RFE cause if you are in Jan, we will be too. Maybe Melannie can be here for the holidays after all. I dont see any way I can get enough time off to go over to the UK, not even for 1 or 2 days.

do you know if melannie put a date for entry to the us when she sent in the checklist? i think the only reason i got an early interview is because i put january 2nd as my date...

ok so apparently it should take 8 weeks to get p4 from london and then another 3 weeks to interview. has anyone else been quoted this? the idea of not having my interview till end of feb is a bummer. Vito didn't like the idea either.

Cant be Hannah. I think that's way overestimated....what about the others who have their dates already? I would have Vito call DOS...

I know I will be calling them tomorrow. I've gotten better news from then than from the consulate directly I've never had a rude operator there either.

yeh but did you get quoted that time frame before you got your packet 4 through? thats my worry that this is a slow down and new time frame. thats why i am asking.
