well was hoping to send out my checklist on fri but the passport misshap stuffed that

so i think i will have to go for the two week not garenteed service for new passport because i cant get up to london again for a while, its so dam tricky.
which means i wont be able to send off for my interview for another two weeks, ahhh.

oh and i phoned the embassy and i think she was in the middle ofsaying i didnt need to get new police certs, but i got cut off, stupid weather
but i'm slowly feeling better about things, but not so sure i will have an interview before xmas now.

My fiance just told me this morning that he hadn't gotten his police certificate or court papers yet (which still need to be translated!!!) His interview is in almost 3 weeks.

I hope so too. Well my news is that I needed one more form for the USE London, which the Lawyer had stuffed up. AGAIN We should have done it ourselves. So now I have an RFE for an expired checklist, so I am resending it all.

John was so please he got to rip shreads off the lawyer. I was getting so upset, but I figure it all has a purpose, even if I can't firgure it out.

i posted my passport app today and it might be back for the 3rd dec. do you know what the average wait is for interviews from sending checklist?
its shitty he sent you out of date forms, i hope he compensates you for his incompetance. have you got the new one yet? i can photocopy or scan mine if you like?

Its okay have a good one now. Finally got the lawyer sorted out. John wanted a partial refund at least but the lawyer was pretty smooth talking. I think we say good bye to the money and move on.

I'll let you know, I think it is about 3 weeks to an interview at the moment.

I am shaking right now I can't believe it!!! After all this waiting and worrying..... and I know I've disappeared from this forum recently, but it was so hard for us... but don't worry, now I'm back to bug you all about your packet 3's and your medicals, and you interviews.... hehe.

Send your checklist off, the passport won't be long! You can always put the interview back.

Just my opinion of course.

Send the packet 3 next week, as i have read in VJ most of london interviews happen 3 weeks after you send out the packet 3... because after packet 3 they will send you packet four

So what do we do now? I'm lost! We printed out the forms from the US-Rio Consulate, and he has those with him on the ship, so he can start filling them out. He's going to resign as soon as we find out our interview date. So... what should I start doing? Getting the affidavit, and proof of relationship? I know you've all posted this info before, but now that I'm lucky enough to have your wise words I can bug you guys!! What did you send for proof of relationship? I was going to make a small scrapbook with pics from all the times we've been together, send a copy of the ring receipt, copy of emails, phone card receipts, plane tickets/passport stamps... what else???? Ahh, I can't believe that after nearly 200 days of waiting we're approved!!! Feels like a dream!! Haha. You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say the most tasking part of this is both getting evidence of an ongoing relationship and getting the affidavit done (plus notary).

While the USCIS information from here is generally good advice, when it comes to questions about what you need for the embassy for the interview, contact the embassy itself. For instance, there are several things the post-NOA2 guides here have told me to do that I don't need to do, which saves money and time.

pm brad and vera from this thread. they are may 1st filers going through brazil embassy. and i think they are so far ahead they may or may not have thier visa already. either way they are ahead of you and they should know what the protocall is for your embassy. cos i think it may be one of those embassies that do it slightly different when sending info out. i can't remember but i thought someone posted on here that they were different or was it chennai, my mind hurts . but check.

well i just answered my question about sending off for the interview, before passport arrives.

That sucks, you have to send it in?? See, every consulate is different - in Morocco, you bring all the forms the day of the interview

hmmm well i havebeen working on examples of the forms and have raised some questions which i wil have to psot when i have recapped them all.

congradulations!! wish i was going to be in ca in next nine days. its a bit smokey at the mo though.

I'm getting my old passport bk i phoned them today to see if i could upgrade to the more costly accelerated processing and i asked about the old passport.

they phoned me bk but i wasnt eligable for accelerated processing, though they finished processing the passport today and it will be 48hrs to print and 3 days to deliver so i get it fri or sat this week. yey. i thought it would take till dec 3rd. and she confirmed she was sending my passport (old damaged one) bk. yey


i also got an email from the embassy today. they just said to be prepared to discuss what happened to the old one and bring evidence from passport authority that it could be returned.
no mention of the effects on the police certificate.

wow that's such good news! i'm so happy for you. you must be over the moon! perhaps the police certificate will be ok if you have the old passport and they can match up the numbers? if not, then i guess you'll have to fork out the £70 for it to be done quickly and send it to them later? you could always call to verify this is ok.

Hi guys! i posted a while back here. just to let you know i had my interview today and after a four and a half hour wait i was approved 'pending medical' (the results ofmy medical wont arrive at the embassy until tomorrow.)!! YAAAAYYY! Im flying over next week and we've booked our wedding for january 8th.

yey congradulations. have you left a review of your interview experience yet? i wll be interested to see it.

out of curiousity how long was the wait between sending packet three back and the interview?

hannah - i put up a review today. =) it was only two or three weeks i waited for packet four to arrive, then it was about two and a half weeks until my interview.

i guess my interview wont be till after xmas then if i cant post it it untill this sat or monday next week.

i'm not sure my interview is going to be before christmas either, you're not alone. don't worry too much, you're gonna have the rest of your lives to spend with each other.

but i have goods news!!! i got my old passport back this morning and i was a little dosapointed cos i thought the second evelope was the new one but it wasn't. not a real biggie, but my hopes were up.and then down. then this evening i got a knock on the door and i signed for my new shiney spangly passport. whoooohooo. that means i can send off for my interview before the end of this weeks.

Question.
on the biographical data form it asks for residences ofr last ten years. i have lived at this address for the last ten but i have also kept week day residences at uni in the last 5 or 6yrs, though this current was always my main one. i put them down on the petitions g-325 as an addendum, explaining the situation briefly and that i could not remember the full addresses. (hell i knew my way home of a nite they were close to student bars and i didn't need any post there where was the need to know them?) do you think i should do it the same way again for the biographical data form this end as well?

did anyone else find themselves in simular situation?

still have a few insecurities though, about the more uk related ones, can any of you uk couple who have sent them off already tell me what you wrote for your passport and the visa thing in regards to the vwp? am i right that its not counted as recieving a visa? and the city where passport is proquired from? is it london gbps?

also can anyone confirm whether carmen and i are right about the national identification number? is it my national insurance number?
