been thinking about costs of medical and everything entailed for visa, what do you think? do you think I've got it right? or missed anything or over/under compensated? unsure.gif

£10 for vaccination records to be typed up unsure.gif I've not asked about this yet unsure.gif I hoping that the only vaccinations other than hpv, i will need are boosters that i can get from the nhs unsure.gif might need that chicken pox if they don't beleive me that I had it. unsure.gif

£45 for ploice certificate. Did i remember the cost right? unsure.gif

£180 for medical, and prob around £30 for train fair and tube, bus ect to to get to it unsure.gif

again another £30 to get to interview unsure.gif
$131 for visa? unsure.gif what is that? about £66 no? unsure.gif
£14 for visa delivery

aos i can't get my head around the information the site, I'm thinking its about $1300 mark for aos ead and advance parol? but i'm being overly cautious with that markcos i'm having trouble reading the info. so thats around £650 mark for that.

i think i need to order a new birthcertificate for me as mine is really old and tatty, so thats gunna be another £10 or £20 if i get a spare
and i'll prob spend money on photo copying and printing some evidence for the interview, hope its not more than £20, but knowing hp prices for ink mad.gif

so thats about £1035 so far not including flights to the usa, when i get my visa, have i messed up somewhere? what do you guys think? unsure.gif

rats forgot hpv thats prob gunna be another £360 or £270 if i can qwait till america? unsure.gif unsure.gif
cca
Ive put aside £400 for overall visa. That includes everything you have said. I dont know were youre tavelling from to london but ive noticed train tickets ar very expensive!! I might see if i can go on the mega bus hahah! Tube is £5 for a ticket per day

As for AOS costs...We're asking everyone who comes to our wedding that asks us what we want as a presnet..money!! So that should help us out a bit good.gif
Hannah+Vito
I'm getting the train from either ashford or folkstone in kent, depends on if i can get a car ride to ashford if not its bus to folkstone unsure.gif

"You can't schedule the medical until you've been given an appointment."

who told you this? i was given different answers? unsure.gif

A few people that have done it recently. Given that I have everything else ready, if I could do the medical I would have. Maybe give the Doctors at Knightsbridge a call? See what they say. I dunno. blink.gif

I guess many do it around the same time due to travel expensies ect.
Has anyone here done it before packet 3 has arrived??? Please share.

What I know to be true.....

-£35 for Police certificate.
-You can't get the shot for chicken pox in the UK. You have to have that in the USA for AOS.

Maybe once you call the NVC to check they have your papers and they have a case number for you..maybe then you can call up knitesbridge as you have a case number assigned to you? Whats the number for the docs anyways? I should have a case number soon so if so i will call knightsbridge and see what they say..then i will share with you guys.
Although this probs wont save time will it...because the embassy will still scedule you a date regardless of when youve had your medical right? i guess all it will do is take stress of you and have one less thing to do in your mind

OK. the list there is a general list of their charges. Not all of those are needed for K1. The Doctors do other visa medicals there too.

Unless you haven't had chicken pox, you will need to have vaccine.

Best to get what you can from your own doctor to save money if you need to have it.

Thanks for asking Villaspurs. Everything is ok. Made it through safe. Lots of clean up. My house had minor damage, just shingles on the roof. Fence gone, part of chimney down, and two rooms of carpet. Surprised after seeing how ferocious the storm was that was all. Definitely built well. Hopefully the electricity will be on soon.

My fiancees Aunt that introduced us business is totaled. The roof was peeled off and spent most of today cleaning that place up. The fiancee is supposed to take it over so will let her know soon.

God was watching after us again. Hope everyone else is fine with the others here that live down here.

Huh--when I opened the link in Firefox (my usual setup) it still shows August, but then I used Safari and it worked! Yay for updates!

Of course, since we thought a month ago it would go to Feb. 15 (thus making this March 15), it's still not the greatest... But it's progress!

I've calmed way down on it too. I feel like we're there, and any minute now we'll be approved, but I've no intention of moving up the list all the way to #1, so anything under 100 is great by me, I feel like we'll be approved now.

When I was bored and feeling sorry for myself the other night, I created my own spreadsheet reflecting what I think is closer to reality than Igor's list (taking out those who are approved but not updated, duplicates, etc.). It's much more palatable that way. We move from the 200 area up to about the 160s, which I greatly prefer!

No touch here either, but its going to feel so good to break the 100 mark on Igors list!

i'm struggling to feel excited about moving up on igors now since the other may 1st filers got approved, am i wierd? Vito still gets excited. unsure.gif

We move from the 200 area up to about the 160s, which I greatly prefer!

lol, Melannie and I do the same, always trying to calculate a date based on our own research. I think this process is putting us all in need of counseling, or a vacation or something! We're all becoming neurotic! wacko.gif

i'm starting to worry about whether i will have my visa in time for feb the 14th , and i mean in time to marry on that date. unsure.gif not that we have or will book that date, but at the moment the only holidays suitable for the wedding are the week after 14th of feb (thats a sat) or the easter holiday. we can't do may cos my sis has exams, and i think the inteview will be too early for next summer hols. agg wacko.gif this wierd messing with processing time has thrown me off. and i don't know what to think anymore unsure.gif

ALL of us in front of you would love to get out of your way, and let you get up here in the 80's-90's Jason! I really would like to see all of us from this thread approved before the Oct update.

My thinking is that it is highly probable we'll have visas by Feb 14. Melannie and I are still holding onto hope that we'll be married in late Jan.

What do you mean you're at 145? I'm confused! Is there a link to Igor's list or whatever this list is that you're referring to? Sorry, I'm still a newbie, and I'm sure this question has been asked somewhere before! Still no touch for us since 09/05... Sad.

Then I just checked now when I got home from the gym and it was there in my spam mail!!!!!!!! I'm shaking so much right now! Well, maybe also from my workout and from being hungry. laughing.gif
