Hello Everybody!!!

First....THANK YOU for all your help and understanding in this!!!

Today, we received notification of the following:

"Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On May 16, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service."

We have not received anything regarding our I129F yet though...not even an NOA1.

Any idea what our next step is?

Thanks again!!

Simo and Yvette

Same thing happened to us. Now your case will move to the NVC and be changed to a CR-1 visa. As long as you follow the shortcuts from this site (which can be found in the NVC forum), it won´t take too much longer to process the rest of your papers, as long as you have everything ready to go, and in the long run you will spend less money and end up with a green card right away. You won´t have to apply for AOS (Adjustment of Status) later on. It really works out for the best. I was upset at first, but now, I´m fine with it. We started on May 6th at NVC and we´re already half way done, thanks to the shortcuts!

Your next step is the NVC which is now faster than before. It usually will take from 2 to 4 months if not faster. Gathering all the documents on time and reading the guides on VJ helps. Then NVC will schedule your interview at the embassy. Good luck

good.gif Congrats!!!

Mine was approved on the same day as yours. But my both petitions got approved. Did you check with NVC whether your case was received by them?

Good Luck to you...!!!
