Got the NOA2 approved and updated at USCIS site. the app has been sent to NVC and I need to know how to track the status from here. Should I continue to track at the USCIS site?

Nope USCIS is useless after your Noa2. You have to contact the NVC and get their case number and then you can start tracking it manually. It does move faster now. USCIS to NVC to Embassy is usually less then a month.

Just wanted to comment that my approval was May2 and I had a touch that day.
Another touch on May 4, which was the day they sent me the email notice of approval.
Another touch on May 5, which I think was the petition being sent to NVC because it arrived there May 6.

You might see if there are updates at USCIS after your approval date. That might indicate when it left there.
I have no idea if that happens to everybody, but it did to me and looking back at the dates, it makes sense.

Call NVC at 603-334-0700

Tell them you are calling to see if they have recieved your petition.
Give them your USCIS number and they will be able to track it and see if they have gotten it yet.

If they have, they will give you your NVC number, it starts with the first 3 letters of your embassy's name.

You are done with the USCIS website for awhile.

Congrats!

Mine went from Vermont to New Hampshire in 1 day. CSC is across the country so will take longer. I'd give it a week.

Newly approved persons need to call NVC 603-334-700 and then press three time 1 , then enter your USCIS file number, if they have received your file in NVC the automated system will tell you your case number.

I received my NOA2 March 12th, 2008, as of this past Friday, the NVC still has not received it. They say it takes 3-4 weeks up to 90 days. Guess mine is one the 90 day ones. Patience is a virtue. Don't stress if it takes longer than everyone elses. smile.gif

We're actually talking about two different processes here. K1 applications just pass through NVC on the way to the embassy. K1 applicants have to press 1, then 5 to speak to a person. K1 applications are not entered into the system, so the automated response and entering your receipt number does not apply.

The posters before this are CR1 applicants and are telling of their circumstances. My previous post is concerning my K1 experience.

Got approved May 15 too and just received hard copy letter in the mail, it says, they are now submitting the file to NVC and it will take up to 90 days and not to call NVC until they sent a letter to the beneficiary. Does it mean when the beneficiary receives a letter from NVC that's the time when it's ok to call them ?

You can call anytime! At least that's exactly what the nice guy at the NVC told me when I called them a week after approval of the I-129F. Apparently the DOS practices a bit more diplomacy than the USCIS.

I-129F for K-3 approved May 8. Received by NVC May 15
I-130- approved May 8 - no record at NVC, even though NOA 2 says it will sent to the NVC
