It's just another video chat system.... like msn or skype. This isn't new. Plus it ties both of you to a computer.

If you truly want your spouse to be able to call you for free, goto JustVoip and download the app. You have to buy 10 euros of credit, but then your spouse will be able to call you on your cell or landline for free. It's great! They will need a computer with a broadband connection and a microphone.

it is true that it is a new program that looks like msn and skype but the thing u got it wrong is that only the person who is calling needs the pc , cz he or she will be calling u on ur cell phone or ur land phone , i think at least u can be greatful for that , and plus it is free,
and by the way im just trying to help since i used it i used arround 3500min now and me and my wife r talking whenever we can and for hours thanks to this program, so if u dont care about using it dont but at least dont try to act smarty about something u dont know

Sorry WH, I wasn't trying to be a smarty. I'm trying to be helpful too, it may have come across wrong. I think this service is great if it truly can call landlines and cell phones. They say that about skype, but skype is only free if you call computer to computer. If you call a landline or cell phone you get charged.

While staying here in Colombia for long periods I am able to have a local phone number and call free and recieve calls from the US free people and clients dont even know that your out of the country. Majickjack connects to a pc and has a phone jack. Cost is around 20.00 one time fee to buy the product.

If you wanted to use skype and not be tied down to a computer you can get a skype phone. If you have a skype phone you can call another person who has one on their phone or call them on their computer. Either way the call is free, and if you use your skype phone or computer to call a landline it will cost you but for xaos and I it is the best deal we have found so far.

i actually use iCall(free to usa and canada) , Globe7(not free but good quality), skysiptel( not free), and now oovoo( 3000 min free )

but i have a small problem with the oovoo !!
How can i print the calls history and where is it recorded i can see only where the video conversation files location:(

Look into this, terrasip.com, this is what I use. You can also set up a phone number linked to it from just about any country, then have the calls forwarded to your home or cell phone.

This way, I have a local phone number in Buenos Aires that my wife calls and the call is forwarded to my cell phone. So for her it is like making a local phone call, and on my cell phone it is like receiving a local phone call.

i just downloaded OOVOO now and o maann! its really good PLUS 3000 FREE minutes! ., thank you so much for sharing this. i was able to call my husband in the US on his home number and the quality of the voice is good

try to click open call history button in oovoo >> press print screen key in the keyboard >> paste it in MS Paint >> then click print in MS Paint OR save the pic as JPEG in MS Paint >> insert the pic in MS Word >> then print

For the Brits on here, I use Talk Talk ..... you have your line rental, free broadband and unlimited free international calls including to the US (inc US cell phones) 24/7 all for £20 a month.
Plus the calls all show on your monthly bill .... you can speak for an hour, then you hang up and call again .... even if you forget to hang up, the cost is minimal.

Free broadband gives total ease for the webcams too.

I could not find any information on the cost of international calls.
Does anyone know of the cost with oovoo for international calls?
(after any free trials are over….)

They have program for USA/Canada, but I didn’t see any costs for other countries.

Thanks for sharing this very good way of communication. May i ask if the person who receives the calls(particularly in US ) is being charge when he/she answer the call or needs to have a balance on the mobile phone in order to be contacted? Just wondering how it truly works, because here in kuwait recieving incoming calls and dialling outgoing calls are both being charge, and if the phone has zero balance you can never contact the phone...

yeah i know thats too much but heeyy the call is still free which is good than nothing at all ., i emailed the customer rep of oovoo asking how to print the call history but i still didn't get any reply from them ( i wonder if ill get any reply hehe) ,., ill let you know if i get response from them
