Of course I want to know all about your snake bite - how big was the snake, which body part got bitten, how much anti venom did you get, do you still have a scar, what happened to the snake...
rattlesnake bite, one i'd caught just outside where i lived and it twisted in my hand - it was a baby rattler. it was on the right hand middle finger, snagged me with one fang. no anti-venom given, the docs cut my finger open without painkiller so it could swell. i'd liken it to having someone stick a needle in you and then pumping you full of air, it hurt when it started swelling. and 2 weeks later i deployed on a reforger to germany

still have the scar, if i hit the edge of something with that finger just right it hurts. the snake was killed by a neighbor, i wanted to let it go but i wasn't there.
and before that, i did have a pet rattlesnake but had to give her away.
Wow, it still hurts! That'S crazy. I am always amazed to hear that even such a tiny snake can seriously hurt you.
Well, ok, but here is the story I actually wanted to hear:
When I was living on a ranch in Texas, working as a cowboy, I got bitten by a 6 ft Eastern diamondback rattlesnake. It left a 2 1/2 inch bite mark on my calf and I was immediately taken to Venom ER. I was treated with 26 ampullae of anti venom for three days and since then I have worn my Eastern diamondback rattlesnake belt every day.
