I have a question about DS230

What type of photos do I have to send with the DS230 package. Is it passport size photo good or does it have a special requirement for NVC, I checked the NVC about the photo requirement but by reading I got confused. Let me the photo requirements

Same size you send for I-130. USCIS has now only 1 size (50mm x 50mm)

I am a bit confused, according to nvc voice message, our case has been updated into the system on 13th of june, so shouldn't our AOS be generated by now? If AOS has been generated, it should be the message on NVC voice message right? Or you get the IIN and then get things done through this site--> https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

Silent, better look into online payment website. There is a lag in AVR messages sometimes... Hope this helps out

I have a question, it the middle name for my wife

I had submitted I-130 with my wife dads middle name, second in her passport it has my name as middle name and third when filling out DS-230 what middle name should I use to get the green card. I do not want the NVC or embassy to raise any problem with this.

I think you should stick with the same in I-130 since I-130 had no issues.

Also, your beneficiary must convince the interview officer the same, if he/she raises the question. Name and all are most important in the application process

My NVC case number was assigned last Monday, June 16. I have called the NVC telephone line, that's how I knew my case had been assigned a number. I have never been able to get through to an operator. How do I know when my AOS bill has been invoiced? Or when my DS3032 has been receieved? Or any other steps in the fastest NVC process? Will it say on the automatic message or will I only know this after speaking to an operator?

Now what you have to do is get IIN from the live operator. If you call at 7:30AM Eastern Time, you'll get it.

Once you have that, login to the payment site with IIN and NVC Case# to see AOS fee has been invoiced. Right now, you can email your DS-3032 to NVC as per the document.

Hey guys - sorry I've been MIA (combination of letting it sink in that I'm one week further from seeing my baby than what I had planned, coupled with making wedding reception plans!) ...

Anyway - Neetu called the embassy and VFS today to check out some of the formalities. As expected, she now has to wait until July 1 to deposit her courier fees ...

Interestingly, she specifically asked the VFS rep if she could pick up her IMMIGRANT VISA in person, and she was told YES she could ... She was also told that the Visa would be at VFS most likely the day after the interview, and that she could track her passport online after the interview (as we have already learned on this site) ...

SOOOO - She'll verify this when she goes to deposit her fee in about a week's time and, if she is told that she can really pick up her passport, then I can book her on a flight within 2-3 days after her interview rather than waiting till the following Monday/Tuesday (which would be up to 6 days after the interview)...

Today i mailed the DS-230 forms.. Yeah... i am so releaved.. ... NVC will get it tomrrow.. Is it the same time frame NVC takes to review DS-230 as they do in AOS.. My AOS package was reviewed in one week time..

What information do they really check on DS-230?? How much it takes them to review.. Any body knows that ???

I have a question, How long did it take u get the PCC. My wife submitted the request for PCC last week and they took the passport and paid the fee and they did not say the time frame to expect the PCC to arrive in mail.

Its the same for me, they have submitted my passport and haven't said a date, but hopefully I will get by this week, on 20th June a CID officer came to my house and basically asked my whole life history, he said he was for PCC from SP, not from passport office though.

It took almost 1 week after my husband submitted the application and to get the Passport PCC. After completing the process, passport and clearance certificate will be mailed to the address on the passport (that might take 2 or 3 days depending on the address where you live)

Today I mailed the AOS package to NVC today by overnight mail, and As of today I am still waiting for the DS-3230 to be accepted by NVC which was emailed on 6-18.

And I know for fact, that I cannot move fwd to next stage mailing DS-230 until I receive the all the required docs from India including PCC, Which should take another 10 days before I receive the package from India, as we are waiting for PCC to arrive as it would approx 5-7 days to get it and then courier to U.S ( that 4 days). So now it waiting game when will the arrive.

FYI,

Fathima reached Chennai on 25th morning and went to the Lister Metropolis Lab for her X-ray and blood test. Also, she collected the report from the lab in the evening after 4PM. The report is in a sealed envelope to give to the physician. So, that part is over

Because of this, we pre-poned her Physician appointment 1 day early. So, instead of Friday, it is going to be tomorrow - 26th

Another good news is somebody from NVC walked to my home and hand-delivered my (petitioner) copy of Fathima's interview appointment letter. I am just kidding

It actually reached by mail yesterday NVC printed it out on 05/28/2008, mailed it out on 06/06/2008 and I got it on 06/24/2008. what a speed I have scanned all 5 pages and emailed to her, so that she can take the print out from Chennai, though it is not necessary

So, guys - update your details We're thrilled, we have another 8 more days for interview

As far as i know.. your wife has to send an email regarding DS3032. This is what i was told by a NVC live operator in the beginning of my case to NVC.

Did your IV fee bill generated online ? If yes, that's one type of confirmation about DS-3032 acceptance. Normally, email conformation will come in 7 to 10 days. Did you follow all guidelines of email format such as Subject, Body etc. ?

As of today IV fee bill is not invoiced. And for the email I used the DS-3032 email template on VJ, so it follows all the guidelines and just to be safe, I send them a second email to NVC about DS3032 today.

My husband's DS-230 forms arrived to the NVC location on 6-24 but not to the actual review place for processing. How long does it take them to send it to the review place ?

Also, Like AOS, we have to write our case number on upper right hand corner on all the documents.. right.. i did the same in DS-230.. is that ok??

NVC mailroom.. when do they mail..?? I haven't received my Information and Instructions Package till this date..

it would take 7 to 10 days for the DS-230 review completion. You don't have to write case# on DS-230 documents like AOS. But it may be ok.

Forget about hard copies from NVC. After your interview completion, you'll start getting all those hard copies



Yes you can wait 1 or 2 days and then talk to NVC live operator. Actually, you can do it today.

Since i didn't have that package physically with me.. i didn't knew.. also i called the NVC operator and he mentioned to write the case number on DS-230.. so i did write.. I don't think it won't be count against..since it is our case number only.. but at the same time... i hope so too.. the review will be fine..

Oh Bani, everything was there in VJ. I just assembled all into a single document, that's all Also, added online payment system too, which was new (introduced in Apr 2008) and very few folks knew this!

I called the NVC about the DS 3032 and they are telling me that it is not in their system as of today and told me they process the email in order they receive it and told me to wait until early next week and give them a call about this matter as they it would take time and So I am going to wait till next week and see they received the DS 3032 request by then.

I did both for DS-3032 - electronic copy and hard copy. There is no harm in it. And I saw Nita also did the same.
