Hi Loto,

I send the I-130 receipt notice and the approval notice to my husband and also the requesting letter to give to a administrative guy so they can issue him a passport office police clearance certificate. But still they are on their same answer ,"we need appointment letter from the consulate" before we can do anything.. My husband tried to explain them, showed all the documents and also took print outs that says "submit all your original documents to NVC first, than will process further. Also talked to many passport agents.. but all of them at first, ask the same question "do you have appointment letter or call letterfrom the consulate to process your request?? I am from Gujarat state, so our Regional passport is in Ahmedabad.. He applied for his local district police clearance which he will get a weak time.. (which i am worried abt now) since 6 months of time will end in july...so right now i just passport office police clearance.

Is anybody's spouse is having this same issue.. please let me know.. how to resolve this.. any suggestions or any comments.. Days are running out and still no luck in getting that original document..

Help me out guys..

It was my case. My wife filled an application form at Passport Office for PCC and paid Rs.300 with her passport. There was no further question. Passport office in India should have at least same procedures.

Now he can call Mumbai U.S consulate and get a letter from stating that NVC collects PCC, not the consulate, since Consulates in India are appointment posts. Earlier this was not the case. He can proceed with the PP office with that. First let him contact VFS office, probably they may be able to help him out good.gif

I have called NVC operator today too about interview appointment letter. She told they mailed out on 05/28/2008 by regular mail. Even to beneficiary also, it is regular international mail. What's the guarantee that beneficiary will receive it ???

They should have done by DHL or so to at least to the beneficiary devil.gif

Once I get my copy, I am sending it to her by Global Express Mail Guaranteed. I encourage everybody to do so, if your beneficiary has not received it.

I think all NVC papers (hard copies such as DS-3032, IV interview appointment letter etc. mailed to the beneficiary overseas) can be collected in our next vacation, if people over there do not use them to wrap for any other purpose star_smile.gif star_smile.gif star_smile.gif

Because of e-tickets in India, all Indian airline companies saved Rs.15 crores, that is close to $4 million a year yes.gif

Hi you guys,

Can you tell me is there any email address to contact IRS, I did search irs.gov but didn't get any, only phone numbers.

The thing is my husband hasn't yet got his tax transcripts and he has been calling irs every day for the last one week, from around 4:30 pm to 5:30pm adn he hasn't get got the line still, so if there is any email address it would be much easier, also we have to get the last 2 years of tax transcripts of our joint sponsor, he(joint sponsor) does have this year of tax trascript with him.

Or if you guys can tell me what will be the right time to call IRS, my husband can't really call from work but still he can try.

Thanks for any help
trinket
ok, I got my own answer, was reading irs.gov vigourously and found this F&Q section, http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html
guess my joint sponsor has to fill out form 4506-(t)

will my joint sponsor also need W-2 or just the tax transcripts are all right? also as lotto's guides says, past 6 pay stubs, will it be needed from my joint sponsor too or just my husband's pay stubs are enough?

Also should we get 2 copies of these tax transcripts? one for NVC and again for consulate level?

Loto, or anyone else know this..

Does anyone know.. what to do in this case ??

My husband's passport issued in Jan, 2008 and within 6 months of time.. in that case i only have to submit passport office PC. i am going to submit only Passport office PCC with the DS-230. In that time frame, my case is completed here and transfered to Mumbai consulate. But if the interview is scheuduled after the 6 months issued time is over, than i need to submit the local PCC.

Now, it is ok for him to submit the local PCC at the time of the interview if they ask for that.. ?? or i have to submit to NVC first??

Both way should be fine. You have the ground for that. But PCC from local police station will be MANDATORY at interview time.

silent, 2 copies of tax transcripts will be great. But I had only one set and made photocopy of it.

If you have original tax transcripts, 1040 and W-2 are not needed from both sponsor and co-sponsor.

Actually, I mailed copies of all my paystubs in 2008 to NVC. And I had 2007, 2006 and 2005 original tax transcripts. For 2007 year taxes, we both filed married filing jointly. And I believe, this will be another GROUND to prove the marital relationship.

To prove marital relationship is the hardest part at IR1/CR1 or K-3 visa at Consulate. We need excessive documentation for that devil.gif

Good luck good.gif

Actually my husband too has filed the same and I guess that's why its getting so late for him to get his copy of tax transcripts (for IITN to be generated), he did file on April 9th, and has been trying to call irs hotline to know when he will get his tax transcripts, we hope in a couple of weeks, but lets see.

Did your IRS tax filing accepted and get ITIN already ??? I filed during the first week of March and in 4 weeks, I received ITIN, first week of April, I think. But I requested tax transcripts after couple of weeks from that point. Good luck, silent good.gif

No, we haven't heard anything yet, not sure if they accepted our ITIN or not. What do you think its the best time to call IRS? I mean which time of the day, all my husband gets are the busy lines, he is Indiana.

Also, later in the stage of NVC, can the benificiary, that's me, can call up their hotline? like getting our NVC case number and other things? As I was reading someone was saying how to 7:30am is the best time to call NVC to get the case number. My husband's work schedual is pretty bad, he leaves for work at 6:30 am and returns back at 5:00--5:30pm, so he hardly get those official hour timings to call.

Thanks lotto for all the help and goodluck with your journey good.gif

Silent, your hubby will get your ITIN wriiten mail from IRS. Other thing to confirm if he has received the refund if he had one during the tax filing. Then only you can request tax transcripts for the last year.

IRS no. is same, only thing you have to play diff. key strokes to get to a customer rep.

Good luck again good.gif

This waiting is driving me crazy!!! The NVC received my I-130 last thursday, 05 June, and it has now been a week. I am just waiting for them to invoice my AOS so I can go ahead and pay it and do the choice of agent e-mail and get the ball rolling.
I check every day, several times a day. It is the first thing I do when I wake up and the last thing I do when I go to sleep.

How long does it usually take for them to invoice the AOS?

Loto,

I read couple of your postings regarding the tax transcripts.. I also filed as jointly married tax return of the year 2007. I am also waiting for IITN to be issued to my husband.. IRS that process these requests received my tax return but they needed more doucments which i already send to them but haven't heard from them yet. I called them on past tuesday, they mentioned it will take around 4 to 6 weeks to process.

Now the question is " my husband has not got his IITN number yet, and i already submitted AOS package.. will that cause any problem in sponsering" Before submitting i spoke with NVC live operator couple different times on the same issue and they all said, since you already filed for the year 2007, you do not have to worry about that.. but i didn't send the copy of W-7 along with the AOS package as didn't have it..

I am little concered now.. Any comments on this issue..

I think it varies - if you look at my timeline, I was lucky enough to have it entered the next business day ... I think by tomorrow you should hopefully hear that its been entered smile.gif The same is true for the DS-230 ... it can "officially" take up to a week (maybe even more), but mine was entered in a day ...

My wife visited VFS (It is needed in India for passport delivery after the interview) office today and here is her findings. Please note that, this is for Chennai (India) U.S consulate and it may differ to other consulates.

She has to come back to VFS on 06/17/2008 because they expect applicant not earlier than 15 calendar (not business days) days. VFS office is actually close to our home in India.

If interview letter is not received before 06/17/2008, VFS will give a receipt stating so. Then she needs to print out the July (her interview is on 07/03/2008) list of appointments from Chennai U.S consulate (where her interview happens) website to proceed for medical and interview. Also, she needs to download medical cover letter and social security information sheet from consulate website as part of packet 4.

Also, she needs to complete a new DS-230 form to submit to the VFS, in addition to the one submitted to NVC.

She also needs to pay Rs.365 for passport delivery charges and they will give the receipt for the same. They assured her she can get her passport back by courier in 2 business days after the interview (if visa is granted).

For immigrant visa applicants, there is NO counter collection of the passport after the interview. That's only for non-immigrant visa applicants.

Good luck guys!

Luckily we have a few days to get the details sorted out - because once she has the appointment letter, she'll have to get moving quickly - I hope to have the letter in my hand by early next week so I can scan it for her smile.gif

Loto

Today, i called to NVC to check an update on my AOS package. The automated voice response said, "NVC is awaiting on the biographic data form from the petitioner, once this packet is received and allow 4 to 6 weeks to review all your documentation and will notify the outcome on this."

I am not understanding this.. So is my AOS package already entered into the system.. Than i spoke with NVC live operator, she mentioned it was received yesterday to us, allow 2 to 4 weeks for the review. The package itself was delievered on june 10th.

Once it has been entered.. what message will i hear in the automated voice response? or i have to talk to live operator everytime to get an update on that..

bani u will not hear an update for AOS.. u just have to call and speak with the NVC operator and asked if the AOS review has been completed, and if everything is ok..

then the biographic message means they are waiting for the DS230, you can call and ask if it has been entered in the system, after its arrival!

usualy AOS review takes a week.. so u have to make the effort to call and ask on the status of that!

good luck u will be fine! rofl.gif

We had an email confirmation from consulate stating appointment letter is not needed for the interview, if we don't receive it before the interview. General monthly appointment list and VFS letter is more than enough kicking.gif with all the forms in Packet 4 downloaded from consulate site kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Ok, this is something which I am still way away from and I am not sure how will I manage NVC stage, but anyways, sinc eyou said there is NO coutner collection for IV visa, I am wondering what will happen to people like me? I come from Port Blair, IF the visa is being granted, can I give out my hotel address for the postal part, and I am also wondering what if things go wrong and I am being put into AP or AR, it will take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months or more to clear that up, I can't stay that long in Chennai if things do happen that way and I will have to go back to Port Blair.

To cut all the confusion, basically I want to know is that, can I change my delivery address anytime I wish for (given how the interview goes) ?

God, I am going to go bald with all this rofl.gif

I'll ask my wife to ask this question to VFS when she goes there on this Tuesday. Your question is if you can give different address than the one on DS-230 to collect the passport, right ?

I've been checking daily for my cases that I paid online at the National Visa Center. I would call almost daily also. This past monday, I tried to logon and couldn't, I received the following message:

Sign In Failed
Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

I called NVC and they would only say adminstrative processing, I would have to wait more time. OF course when I hear Administrative processing I became concerned, but I decided to wait and see, I called tues, weds... same thing AP... anyway I spoke with a woman at the DOS this morning and she said my wife's CR1 was complete, but was waiting on my son's... I didn't ask at that time, but I was happy... anyway I decided to call back and inquire about my son's... turn out I was waiting and waiting because I included my wife on son's I-864... the papers and instructions in some places seem to tell you to do so and in other places tell you not to. My mistake, but they told me they sent me a letter on June 5, I have not received it yet. The operator did tell me I could fill out another I-864 and send it in and he told me where to fill in... #8, yes #9 n/a #10 0,1 21a 0,1

I just fedexed the corrected one. hopefully, we can proceed to Guz soon. hopefully someone will avoid this little delay in the future.

Evidently, my wife's case was already completed because I got the above message (red). At that time and now I can still login to my son's case online.... so this is the indication his is not complete. It would have been nice if I had gotten more information when I called on monday.

Hi

I received my approval notice on 6.12.08 and now i have a few question which i am confused about and hope you can help me .

First of all by reading the fastest nvc document,
a.) I can call the NVC after a week I get the approval notice from CSC, so that means I can call them on 6-19 to get my NVC case No and IIN number.
b.) can I email the NVC about the DS-3032 (Choice of Agent form) the same day (6-19 ) or do i have to wait for the A0S feee to be paid. ( this is what confuse me)
c.) So after the AOS fee is paid I can then mail the AOS package to NVC ( in 2 days after fee is paid)

and another thing it say is to create a cover sheet DS 230, my question is what should be on the cover letter.

thanks in advance for the help.

Chintan, that was old procedure and they are true.

Now NVC has changed the procedure, so you need to submit PCC to NVC as part of DS-230 good.gif

Finally, My AOS was invoiced. I almost did not check today because it is a Sunday. So I paid my AOS bill and sent the DS-3032 email. Now I am finally off and running. kicking.gif

I admit that I was starting to get worried. I called the NVC and asked how long it takes for the AOS to be invoiced online, and I got the standard response that the online system was not functional yet, and I had to wait to receive it in the mail. I know this is not correct, but I know some people were invoiced after only a couple of days. But all is good now. good.gif
