Guys,
I am trying to pay the IV bill online. The payment seems to go well but then I got the following email. (The Receipt looks Ok. with staus: IN PROCESS). What I am concern about is that, it says : PRINCIPAL APPLICANT NAME NOT FOUND in the email.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The U.S. Department of State's online Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center has been utilized to pay the fees associated with the immigrant visa application of PRINCIPAL APPLICANT NAME NOT FOUND. Your copy of the receipt is attached to this email in a PDF file.

If you find that you cannot open the attached file, please double check that you have the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat installed on your system. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you may download it for free at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Please contact the NVC (http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html) with any additional questions you may have.

Hi! I am so relieved to hear that you guys had this similar problem! I also received the e-mails with the note that the principal applicant was not found... But mine had a twist: I received the error message for Cynthia Garcia in Ciudad de Juarez (for the AOS bill) and Bina Shah from Bombay (for the IV bill) saying that my account had paid $70 and $400 for these people respectively. Talk about freaky!

So I checked my bank account and the right amount has been withdrawn. When I log in the NVC system, it says "in process" (I paid it 2 days ago) with the right name, case number, etc. So I am not going to worry for now.

But really, is it necessary to torture us more than they already do?!?! hahaha

Wow. It looks freaky. but I guess it gets automatically corrected or somebody manually writes sql queries in NVC Database. No wonder NVC never officially announced online payment system. devil.gif ph34r.gif

I am thinking this can be someone internal from NVC who thinks that his job might be eliminated because of online payments. unsure.gif
