Hey guys.I'm new here.I just moved to Southwest VA about 4 months ago from TX(will be filing N-400 in Vermont instead of TX). I checked online and it said DC/Fairfax,VA is my DO( about 7 hrs from me),and when I called USCIS, I was told that I would be sent to Charleston,WV (closer, about 2 hrs) for fingerprinting.I am just wondering if anybody knows the timeline for this area in VA ( Buefield,VA , to be precise) and how long it takes to get naturalised. If anybody knows if I have to go to DC for interview or Charleston,WV as well( meanwhile WV is another DO).If anybody can assist me with this,I will highly appreciate it.Thank you.
guys, can anyone answer my question please.i really need help with thid.thanx.
Hey there,
I live in Southwest VA as well. I can't apply for citizenship till Dec, however I have been to the Charleston WV office for my biometrics. They are really nice and fast. In regards to your interview, I believe you can request it in Roanoke, only 2 hours away. When applying for my AOS I requested it here versus DC. The interviewers come here from DC once every other month, and I have seen people have their citizenship interview here. Hope that helps....Best of luck
