Hey guys - not to rain on anyone's parade but the USCIS has thought me to be paranoid. So, I have to ask whether the online payment system for NVC is really working. I've called the NVC and twice have been told that the online system is not yet "ready" or "secure". Soooo, I don't have an IIN - yet!

I talked to the NVC people again and got some more clarifications for certain questions -

I learned that the medical exam will happen after everything is done here (it will happen in India).

From what I can tell - a copy of the I-130 approval, our NVC case #, and printout of instructions from state department website regarding the CR-1 process will suffice to get the police station to get moving and do a background check (when I was pursuing the K3, they said that they wanted the interview letter in my wife's hands in order to start the process - but obviously now we don't have an interview letter until AFTER the process is done here in the USA - so I'm HOPING the above is 'proof enough' that we have a NVC case going on ...) .. Do you guys think this will suffice???

Other than that - I'm still seeing if the I-129F comes through in the immediate future.

I really hope this system works - so far I'm 0 for 2 in asking people at NVC for an IIN ... They say the system isn't secure and/or ready yet so they imply there's no IIN - but there must be .. Then again, my I-130 just got there 2 days ago LOL

Online Payment option is never officially announced as of today. devil.gif

However, in early week of April NVC updated its website and had necessary information about how to use online payment system. On April 8, VJ member Sky2k found NVC link and posted it in VJ forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=120774. smile.gif

After looking at the NVC link few VJ members called NVC and was able to successfully get Invoice Identification Number (IIN) on the phone. There was some issues in early stages with online payment as VJ member badspellor's transaction was done twice but system did not reflect it. Also there was some issues with generating I-864 cover sheet and DS-230 cover sheet for some members.

As NVC found out that people requesting IIN, they removed Online Payment FAQ link from their website. However, before that I, updated VJ Wiki for James's shortcuts with information online payment and few people posted link to online payment in VJ forums. Wiki helps all our VJ Community to get latest information and Forum is a great way to help out each other. As news spread more and more people started using online payment feature.

The online payment system was down on April 30th for maintainance for few hours. ohmy.gif

It has been more than a month now but NVC hasn't officially announced about Online Payment option. headbonk.gif Still most people who successfully got IIN from NVC were able to pay fee bills online and cut down NVC time dramatically. These brave people took risk to get together with their spouses quicker and had success.

Let's hope good.gif that NVC announces Online Payment Option officially and all of us don't have to suffer with NVC payments via ridicules snail mail. yes.gif yes.gif yes.gif

Just got my IIN without any hassle from a pretty cool guy called "Jake" at NVC. He also answered a lot of my other questions (ie, the petitioner copy of the DS-3032 is just a courtesy copy and my wife should definitely email them to appoint me as agent in order to save time - I love it when employees of govn't agencies actually try to HELP us out in saving time!) ...

FOR THE RECORD he said he cannot confirm or deny the online payment system's existence and/or functionality as it is not officially released.

He also gave me a "Beneficiary ID number" which he said could be needed for the IV Bill - but he wasn't sure if it was necessary since I have a single beneficiary ... Anyone have any info on this Beneficiary ID Number?

Anyway - that's my update ... I'm still not "invoiced" for anything so let's see what ends up happening in a few days ...

I bit the bullet and paid the AOS fee online just now (May 11th) - Got my receipt showing IN PROCESS! Let's hope things move fast overall... I sent the receipt to my wife so she can use that to show the police station/officer that she needs a background check ASAP ...

I think I'm talking to myself on this thread, but that's ok ... LOL

My AOS fee status changed to PAID today so I printed out the barcode cover letter. I also called NVC and they had it updated in their system that it's PAID!

I mailed off my AOS packet this evening via USPS Priority Mail!

I think I paid my AOS around 4/17 and the IV around the 21 and now my case was completed 5/12 just waiting on the interview would have been a week shorter but I had to wait on the police record to be sent to me online is the only way to go if you want fast action You will get more responce if you post in the NVC processing forum good luck

AOS received at New Hampshire today! Hoping it's processed by middle-end of next week!
