Finally I get to ask a question.........

I had an email from my congress woman today, a month after she inquired on the statis
of Ahmed's visa.
She said the Embassy said the AP is finished and that the visa should be issued within
10 working days.

So with the Cairo Embassy, does that mean it will be printed that day but not mailed that day?
I can't remember if some people on here had to wait another 2 to 3 weeks after it was issued
before it was mailed through DHL?

I want to be excited but am wary still..............don't want to expect too much yet.
If it's all true, then finally after 16 or more weeks, Ahmed will have his visa.

Should I get excited now?

I sooooooo hope for you, it sounds good to me but Im not knowledgeable about that embassy.

Lynn,

First of all congratulations!!!!!!!!! I know it has been such a long wait!!!!!!!!!!! The issue date is the date they print it out. Ours was printed and then mailed out two weeks later. Some have been much shorter of a wait to go out DHL. I am not sure why the two week wait afterwards we had but I was thinking they were mass shipping them. Also, I never received a DHL alert. I just had to keep manually checking. Once it went out DHL he got it in two days. I believe with mine and Cheryl's they went out on a Thursday and arrived on Saturday morning.

Cheryl just emailed me and said that when they told her senator that it would be issued in 10 days, then they got it within 10 days.............so I guess it's going to happen!
So, maybe he will get it by the 24th!
We are kind of in shock and can't believe it...........
I will be sure to let everyone know on here when it does happen though and I am sure
that I will have lots of questions!!
Thanks for everyone's wishes and support and I am still praying every day for anyone else
that doesn't have their visa yet!

Hi Everyone!!!!!!

Lynn they told our senator on Apr 7 we would have it in 10 days. It was mailed on the 17th and Ahmed got it on the 19th. Good Luck!!!

Hi Tasha hope all is well. How was the wedding day????? April 28th at 1030 is the exact time we got married also in the courthouse. However, we will still have the June wedding for friends and family. How Malek enjoying his Father being there? I bet he is loving it.
