Hello guys and girls..Im sorry if this topic may sound to be somewhat unrelated to visa but i really need some guidance/advice on this matter.I got an offer from BIR to be an Tax examiner right now and im confused if i will take it at this moment. As you can see we are in amidst of the visa process. The oppurtunity is just to big for me to not to consider without due consideration. If i take the job ,do you think i will have problems leaving the country..im really confused..
I need your help or advice on this..
What will you do given the same situation?
Thanks....
Much appreciated ...

Hi! If I were on your part, I won't take the chance of working knowing that Vermont does the processing in a shorter span of time. No one can tell if by luck you get approved in a month or two. Of course no one can tell also if one case is approved or not until we get notified but let's stay on the positive side.

Problems leaving the country? I don't think so but as you get NOA2, you got to comply with the requirements and may push you to take absences or leave for work, seem not right for a new employee.

You still got to decide.

How about if you inform them about your K1 application and tell them of leaving the job after you get your visa. If they will still be interested in hiring you and will consider your circumstance, then it would be really nice to work in the government. It should be a plus in your resume for future employment smile.gif

Yup, better open up your current situation specially that it's a government agency at BIR pa biggrin.gif And also, in record, VSC do process faster than CSC. Parang alanganin talaga situation mo, pero sayang din ang opportunity. Mas mabuti inform mo na lang sila then you will know if you can take the job or not.

Originally from Naga City, but we bought a house in San Jose, Pili too. Now am staying in Naga at my lolo's house since all my family aren't here anymore except for a brother. Hala, baka magkabisto kita, hehe.

Thanks for the wishes.

I agree with All Rights Reserved opinion pretty pink. Its difficult to be connected to the Government and you are living the country soon. Just patiently wait ur visa for the fact that Vermont Service Center is the fastest service center.

Good luck & God bless!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Rodgeand Ninfa!
COngratulations on your NOA2..A step closer being with your hubby..Im happy for you..
Thanks for the insights..Thats one thing i have to consider too..Speaking about timing..heheheh...Oh well..i guess i just have to choose one not unless some members here had done accepting a government job and had to resign after let say 5 months without any problems at all..

good.gif Also, if you check the timelines of those who filed from February with Filipino beneficiaries, they are getting their NOA2s in just 2 months more or less so you might get the same luck and consider telling them that anytime you will be leaving the country and see if they will still hire you.

I have been travelling outside the Philippines before I came here so I chose to stay in private practice because in the departure area ( immigration section) they will ask you for a clearance once they know you work for the government. I experienced this many times even if I only went outside the country for a vacation.

It will be a tough decision so choose the one which is most convenient for you.

Goodluck on the journey.

yup! you cannot travel without the required clearance from the government agency you work for. although, people i know seem to have gotten around this rule by saying they work for a private firm instead of the government.
Goodluck in whatever you decide to do.
