Sure Hyd, wait for a day or two to collect all the feedback. Then I'll add whatever docs are needed and when those can be collected so that the entire NVC process will stay same without adding extra days

LOTO we really got lucky as the first ones to use the NVC FAST PROCESS

some ppl have been there for 3-4 months!!

and we r less than a month and half way, i am glad they came out with online payments and cover sheets!!!

May be stupid question, but for the I-864 form, if I'm going to submit it now, do I need to include the return I filed this year? or can it be previous three years?

Nothing is stupid question Desiboy2k4 ! Yes, if you have 2007 year tax return filed, you need to include 2007 year too. If you haven't filed, NVC may challenge why you didn't file it since deadline April 15th is passed. So, if you haven't filed, write a letter what was the reason, notarize it and send 2006, 2005 and 2004 tax transcripts.

I am just wondering about one thing, when you make packages of i-864 and the IV pack, do you send both at the same time, or i-864 is sent by the USC while IV pack is sent by the beneficiary?

If that's the case, then can it be possible for the beneficiary to first send his/her IV package to USC and then USC sends it to the NVC (well this is totally for personal reason, I feel like when I am using DHL's $100 service, then I should also send a few personal items to my husband )

ya u can stuff in some personal items hehe..

if u the us citizen is choice of agent then the beneficiary shud mail the ds230 stuff to the us citizen and then the us citizen will mail to NVC

I guess our lawyer is going to be our choice of agent but I am not sure. I have been reading other posts and there they were saying how their lawyer got the NOA-1 and then the lawyer forwarded them that receipt, but with us, its my husband (the USC) who got the NOA-1.

Silent, once I-864 payment is done (normally this will happen first), the petitioner mails I-864 package. IV package is supposed to mail by Beneficiary, but that's slowest track since international mail and correspondence. So, Make petitioner as agent and give DS-230 package to agent and let agent mail those. This can be done as part of Pre-NVC steps, so you won't lose any time at NVC. Hope this helps out

We all know they cannot help out in immigration process, but if the immigration officer takes your file to answer congressperson's question and process, you'll be the luckiest person in this universe

Quick question if i send the org.birth cert in the form DS-230 wouldnt that be a problem when she goes to get the visa at the embassy? i mean wouldnt they need an org. copy of the birth cert as well???

NVC will forward all originals to the Consulate. However, it is highly recommended to take the copies of all originals and keep with beneficiary at the time of interview.

Silent, if you are getting this done by your lawyer, you are right. Lawyer will be the choice of agent by default. Only NOA-1 hard mail is received by USC(and by the lawyer as well) all the other correspondence from NVC will be only to your lawyer. Hope this helps.

This fastest NVC process I posted because whoever suffered or is suffering due to huge delay in USCIS, should not waste a single day in NVC. Since online payment system is relatively new, most of the folks even do not know how to make use of it. So, this would be really helpful for them and they would definitely cut short NVC process by at least 2 months.

Those who go to Indian U.S consulate, check out new currency conversion rate. It was Rs.42 per USD when Rs. was around 40. Now Rs. is touching 42, so, consulate can hike the exchange rate at any time, stay tuned

BUT ... I don't know if we can collect all necessary documents from the beneficiary BEFORE the NVC process because my wife was told in Delhi that she needed an interview letter (we were doing the K3 visa and still waiting on 129F - just got 130 approved a week ago) to get her medical and her police background check done ...

How can I get these done in advance as listed in the flowchart??????

Medical, of course, need visa interview appointment letter. And that's outside NVC process.

For Police Certificate, you may try with the copy of I-130 approval notice and write a request letter for the same stating "now NVC procedure is changed and it has to be submitted to NVC, not Consulate".

Agent can be petitioner, beneficiary or attorney of the record. To speed up the process, make the petitioner as agent, since he/she is in the U.S. Is this the answer you are looking for ?

If you have only state tax copies for the remaining 2 years, you need to submit last 3 years W-2/1099 with tax return documents and write a letter as attachment stating Federal return was not needed during those years. For more info, please refer the instructions in this link:
